Brunch, caf and Rebellions (D5 EA)

[Leah kuso]

By the time Leah had woken up this morning Manny was already gone. She sighed, having missed out on an easy breakfast. Deciding she couldn't be bothered to actually prepare something, she got showered and dressed, then went to Teefs. At least the caf there was pretty cheap, and the food wasn't too bad. Some even called it the best burger joint this side of the alley!

Likely because it had almost no competition...

Accepting her caf, Leah sleepily gazed over the menu, unsure what she wanted to order.

[Honor]

"Try the daily special," an older Twi'lek, male and with glasses said as he sat nearby on a stool. Seeing her struggling on the choice.

[Leah kuso]

"Hm?" Leah peeked up, noticing the older man. She was sure he looked familiar... she gave him a greeting with her lekku, saying "been here before? What's the daily special today?"

[Nerra]

Nerra nodded his head, smiled, "Soup, of a special kind that's served with a bread," he spoke. "Very delicious and very filling. Surprising for a place like this, but sometimes it's the ones you least expect, isn't it?"

[Leah kuso]

"Good soup in a burger bar is about the most surprising thing I can think of, but it is early for me" Leah said with a chuckle "I feel like I know you from somewhere. Want to join me for lunch? Or I guess breakfast for me! I'm Leah by the way."

[Nerra]

"Nerra," he said, offering a hand in the Basic style. "Have you been by Favna? My bar is a favorite spot for a lot of folk. Accept all kinds of folk, for better or worse for polite society," he remarked. "Made a focus on making the right kinds of friends. Lunch is a good step toward finding another, and I'd be most glad to get a chance."

[Leah kuso]

Leah shook the offered hand, looking thoughtful. "Oh I've heard of Favna. I'm not sure my boss is a huge fan, I work at Lux. Although I wouldn't say we're competitors" she chuckled "however I'm always on the lookout for more friends. Maybe I should check your bar out sometimes."

She paused, before quietly adding "what kind of friends are you looking for?"

[Nerra]

"Always good to know a few friends in the neighborhood," he suggested. "Of course.. I've recently caught up on your career Leah. You've lived on Kamda all your life, so please don't be too surprised, just a few questions in the right directions."

[Leah kuso]

There was a tilt of the head.

"If you're trying to recruit me for your bar you're going to have to talk figures with Vex sadly. Not really my choice on that matter. Not that I don't enjoy working at the club, it's pretty cool and keeps me in shape. There's just, you know" she waved her hand a bit "business."

[Nerra]

"Not quite.." he said, "I wonder what the price is on a fabricated lie," he shook his head. "My goal is to seek individuals of some skill and talent. Those who care for Kamda and wish to put their efforts to improving the lives of the people here."

[Leah kuso]

"More than you'd want to know" Leah said quietly, not wanting to go down that line of discussion with the nice Twi'lek "I care for this city, and this planet. Enough that I don't like what's going on at the moment with all the Imperials muscling in and others. This isn't a great world at all but I liked it more when we knew what the problem was and how to go around it, now it feels like more and more problems are coming."

[Nerra]

"No, no world is completely absolved of it's reasons to be disliked, even hated. Yet, there is a spirit to the people here that has long held it together. Even today, the problems we face.. I believe Kamda will survive, her people are strong and are willing to sacrifice and risk for one another. There is a lot we might gain by simply looking to our neighbor and considering how we might help them best. It is a philosophy I have tended carefully in my older age."

[Leah kuso]

"The spirit in this place is one I would stand for" Leah nodded "people here might have some selfish sides but we don't like people coming in and taking over. Look at those protests, that showed you everything. I know there's plenty of people here that will stand for what's right, don't worry" she smiled at him.

[Nerra]

"I'm sure as well.." he said, finishing up his meal a bit. "Come by Favna some time, won't you? You'll meet all sorts, all doing their part. Could count yourself one of them, I'm sure."

[Leah kuso]

Leah nodded, a smile on her face.

"I will do, thanks. Also thanks for the food recommendation, it's actually pretty good! Take care of yourself ok?"

[Nerra]

"You as well, little one," he said, patting the table before rising. Making his exit.
