Grunting as he hit the floor the Hunter quickly brought up his arms to defend himself against the incoming strike and it cut deeply into his arm. Blood streaming down over her arm. Throwing himself hard to the right he rolled out of the flames and put the fire out before it burned him too badly. Smoothly transitioning from the roll onto his feet and preparing his blade for defense.

"Smart move, areutii, when I kill you I will be sure to mourn the true Mandalorian you could have been if you hadn't fallen in with these traitors."

Saxon rolls out of the fire, putting it out, using the advantage to get a bonus maneuver to jump to his feet.

Her anger blazed brighter than the fire as he dared called her a traitor, and she managed to cut through his defenses, even as he was guarding himself to the best of his abilities. Though the pain from the injuries sustained so far was getting to her, and she felt that she wouldn't be able to continue the fight at this pace much longer.

"You won't leave this place alive, cur! It was your kind that betrayed me and my family first!"

"You're getting slow," he said, moving from the guard into an attack. Cutting deep into her side as he pulled the blade back toward himself, leaving a narrow but serious gash across her lower stomach. Forcing her weapon out of her hand with a sudden surge forward, bashing down against her hold and then ripping it from her.

If not for being toughened from a rough life, Raven would've been felled by his strike, but still she stood firm, silently praising her shitty armor that was saving her life barely now. Still a cry of pain escaped her and she reached for her injured side... and pulled the knife she had taken from him the last time they fought.

She braced herself as she rushed into him, the knife pointed at the weak spot of his armor, though as he was knocked off his feet again, into the remains of the fire, the knife punctured through.

That she had him down on the ground again gave her a small second wind as she jammed another stim into herself.

As he went crashing back down into the campfire again he was singed by the embers but the weight and shock of his body, this time, completely put out the flames. Finding his feet he struck out with the blades, trying to buy himself time but found no purchase. As he started to pace around her in a circle he looked for her next move, his next move.

"You.." he says, catching a breath, "fight well.."

Her injuries pained her and she felt she was losing some blood from the wounds too, but she weaved away from his now sluggish strikes, once more stepping in close with the knife as she brought it up into a rough thrust.

Whatever reply she had, she was feeling too breathless to say it.

Her free hand gripped the fresh injury on her dominant arm, and finding her last bit of adrenaline, she rushed forward underneath the sluggish swing of the second blade with her knee into his stomach to knock the breath out of him. Which was only the opening to her pushing the vibroknife through the visor on his helmet, smashing its bits into his eyes and slashing his face.

"It's over!" she cried out through gritted teeth, yanking the knife free to ready her weapon once more.

As the visor shattered the Hunter screamed in agony, the blades dropping to the floor as the blood loss and sudden blindness overcame him. Weak, panting, he dropped to his knees and bit through the pain. Smashing a hand into the ground weakly, disturbing the the dirt resting upon the rock. As he tried to stand again he found his legs had no strength left. Merely.. he could do nothing buy hold himself from the ground.

'E-end it," he stammered out, his voice harsh as he fought through the overwhelming pain that afflicted his body. Holding himself up from the ground. Both of the vibro-swords on either side of him.

Kriff, she hurt all over right now, but the job needed to be finished.

Picking up her own sword and sheathing her knife, she took a deep and painful breath to steady herself. "You fought with honor and skill. And now you've been defeated... it was inevitable."

As was proper, she gave him now a swift, clean death. It was over. Dred Saxon was no more, a threat to the enclave had been eliminated, Tiroc had been avenged... and hopefully she had proven herself today by defeating a warrior with much more training and experience than herself.

Breathing heavily, she cleaned her sword of blood before sheathing it, and then finally took off her own helmet to get a proper breath of fresh air. The chilly air in the cavern hit her in the face, and she hissed slightly even as it felt welcoming.

"... I need a breather before we head back," she said, looking back to Dredgen... wherever he was.

Dredgen wasn't far, and Raven could tell because at the very moment she finished asking he had walked up and placed a firm hand on her shoulder just as she looked to him.

"You fought well, Sister. Take your rest."

Giving her a firm nod the man looked over the corpse before walking into his campsite. Rummaging through the equipment that Dred Saxon had brought with him. Searching for something.

She nodded and found a spot next to the cave-walls to slump against. Though even that made her wounds singe with pain. Not that she'd say it out loud to Dredgen now that she finally seemed to have earned his respect, but this was probably the hardest fight she'd fought and won... without having to run away.

Having regained her bearings a bit more now, she went over her knife and sword once more to make sure they were clean of blood. It would be a nightmare to deal with that dried blood later if she didn't do it now. Not that it was a pleasant thing to do, as her wounds hurt worse than being stepped on by banthas.

Dredgen's search did pique her curiosity and she watched the larger warrior with interest as he searched...

Opening knapsacks and packs, Dredgen tore through them and tossed aside contents like food jugs, medical supplies, and personal effects. None of it piqued his interest. However, when he got to one bag he whistled, "What do we have here?" he opened the top of the bag and pulled up the antenna. "That's a long-distance transmitter alright. Wonder who you've been talking to, back home?" he asked the corpse, it didn't reply.

Searching the contents more he shook his head. "Damn.. had some hopes."

With her weapons clean enough for now, Raven felt she could finally think of herself. One of the cuts were quite deep... stims would help stop the bleeding, but she'd need more than that to get back into fighting shape. Probably a trip to medical once they were back.

"Clay might be able to get some clues out of that transmitter. Maybe trace some calls, or... something. I dunno." Clay wasn't the toughest Mando she knew, but Raven kew he was a smart one. Those were often a rarity in a culture like this.

"What are you looking for?" moving from her seat, Raven picked up some of the discard medical supplies. Dead men had no need for it and all, and she had wounds to dress.

Of note, there was enough supplies for a one-time medicine check as if using a med-pack. As well, there were a small assortment of stimpacks that were usable.

"Hoping to find anything that might tell us what this bastard was doing," he said, "if there was anything more to this plan than just hunting us. Not so sure there's much to tell here but.." he said, looking at the transmitter. "I am certain he was probably talking with the rest of the Saxons. What for.." he shrugged.

"Saxons are working with the Imps, so it's possible this was reconnaiscance. Hngh... if I, Varina, and Clay could learn about Mandalore and find the enclave... it's not impossible that he might've found it too. Watched it and us. And then reporting back."

She flinched at the burning sensation of the disinfectant applied to her injuries.

"... Just as our group have wanderers outside the enclave working for Mandalore, so does probably Gar Saxon. And I bet he wants to find us and squash us before we become a serious threat."

"I am almost certain of the same, Sister," he said, approaching her and offering a hand. "Need help?"

At least she'd managed to stop the bleeding with one of those sprays, but she wasn't exactly feeling her best.

"Never learned how to do that stuff. Always had stims, or some street doc willing to do the job." Or just hiding and resting up naturally, but that she didn't say out loud.

Who's to stop them from doing something else if you don't know what they're doing," he shrugged, shook his head. "Anyway.. when we get back to Mandalore it's probably best you let me do the talking at first, alright?"

"Not quite willing to find out what he might think if he hears about what that Saxon tried to pull. Just so we're clear.. he deserved it, and it needed doing. Mandalore.. Mandalore might not care to hear a challenger was ignored, even from one of Saxon's killers."

Her lips pressed into a thin line, but it was hard to tell if it was from what Dredgen said, or from the medical treatment. It still hurt like hell, but at least the wounds were closed.

"Alright," she nodded, pushing some of her sweaty hair away from her face. "I don't disagree that he didn't deserve it... and I would've joined this hunt even without the lie, just so we're clear on that. But he was clearly lying just to save his own hide."
