[D5MA] Step Into My Office

[Manny Donos]

Manny wasn't doing an afternoon set. His new living arrangements had his sleep all confused. But habit still lead him back to Favna. Well, habit and a planned meeting.

He slid into a booth with a plate of fried daro roots, waiting.

Sliding in opposite him the Mirialan shot a grin. "So, you came. Kinda.. unexpected," he said, giving a little wave to someone over at the bar but they seemed to intentionally 'miss' the gesture.

[Manny Donos]

Manny spread his hands, smiling. "What can I say? You wanted to talk, I like to talk. Besides, I like to think that I'm full of surprises."

He let his eyes flicker over to the bar, where the Mirialan had waved.

[Honor]

"Hey," he said, looking back with a smirk. "That sounds like one of my lines," he shrugged quick.

"Anyway, you.." he looked at Manny a few more seconds. Snapped his fingers and pointed, "you've never left this hunk o'rock, have ya?"

[Manny Donos]

Manny smirked too. "You a talker, then? Use a lot of lines?"

He cleared his throat. "Yeah. Been here all my life. Go Kamda City Manka Cats!" He raised one fist in the air in a cheer.

[Honor]

"Really?" he said, leaning back in his seat. "Wow, couldn't imagine that. Being stuck on one planet for all my life, that's.. wild. How do you manage it, just.. staying here? Ran off the second I could."

[Manny Donos]

"So you're from Kamda too, huh?" Manny nodded. "Hey, that's cool. And you came back! Hey, you wanna catch a gravball game sometime?"

He shrugged. "It's not like I never wanted to go anywhere. Sometimes I'd try to get something together, but it just wouldn't work out. I figure maybe when I make it big, that's when I'll travel."

[Honor]

"Once.. maybe," he shrugged, "be perfectly honest I was raised on a ship for the first half of my life. Folks settled on Coruscant but they weren't worth much salt so I took up their ship.. by that I mean I stole it," he winked, "Sixteen or so, galaxy in front of me, I never looked back. Should do the same, maybe," he shrugged.

"Anyway, reason I brought you here..." he thought, "wait, did that information I give you pan out at all? Get you in cozy or something?"

[Manny Donos]

"Hey, right on. I steal stuff too, sometimes." Manny said, nodding. "Or, at least, I try to. But big things, not just little things. A ship would be cool."

He frowned. "About Jarvis? Not yet. We're gonna meet him later. I guess we can see about it then."

[Honor]

"Cool.. cool cool cool, cool," he said, waving a hand. "So.. here's the thing, and it's real awkward right. I uh.. I'm looking for some help, got a few guys who offered some time ago but I didn't really think of finding them again. Maybe you could.. ask after them for me?"

[Manny Donos]

Manny looked interested. "You want me to ask after these guys? What's the job? Maybe me and my crew could just help you out."

[Honor]

"Not really after 'em.. just.. some guy named Jaxom, or something? And another, I think, Tosath?" he didn't seem sure. "Anyway, they were gonna help me solve a little bit of a problem but.. well, I don't quite know what they got themselves up to. Though, course, maybe you and some of that crew could help them along? They were gonna get me my ship, I bring something off-world for them. Favor, for a favor."

[Manny Donos]

"Hmmm..." Manny thought about it. "Jaxom... I swear I know that name from somewhere." He shrugged. "Never heard of the other guy, though."

After a few moments, he shrugged again. "But okay. I'll see what I can do. Sure, why not."

[Honor]

"Thanks.. you'd be helpin' me out a million, and hey.. if it brings in any money when they or.. you get me up and running maybe I'll cut ya a slice?"

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah, sounds good!" Manny said, giving the man a thumbs-up.

After a moment, he let out a half-sigh. "So... what else you got going on? Anything fun?"

[Honor]

"Not.. much," he shrugged, "business is pretty dry for me, considering the whole not having my ship thing. It's kinda surprising, guy like me, a regular ol' rogue.. dashing as can be and I'm just about nothing without my ship. Last job I tried to pull was robbing you lot and.." he chuckles lightly, "yea, didn't quite go well.. not usually much of a thief but get in, get out, was supposed to be easy."

[Manny Donos]

"Hey," Manny said, grinning. "You might be a dashing rogue, but I'm a magician. Never underestimate a magician." With a flourish, he handed the man an egg.

He shrugged. "Alright. Well, we'll see about getting your ship back, then." He looked around. "Might as well have a drink while we're here, eh?"

[Honor]

Cadyn took the egg, turned it over, "Name's Cadyn.. by the way, and yea, let's get a drink," he said, examining the egg a little more. "Is.. is it just an egg?"

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah..." Manny said, rubbing his head awkwardly. "But, I mean, where'd the egg come from, right?"

"Manny." He said, offering his hand, waving down the bartender with the other.

Taking Manny's hand with the free one as he looked at the egg one last time, then after shaking his hand offered the egg back. "Usually it's like.. a card or a rose or something, isn't it? Something that gives the recipient a little more," and he put on his most catty voice for this, "Ooo, wow, you're so good!"

Then, back to normal, "Right?"
