Not So-Empty Roads (Day 1 EA)

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyvress coughed a little as she swallowed, "Ah...umm sorry for asking..." Her cheeks were a bit red, "Is it one of...err....those...kind of clubs?" She was hardly a prude but visiting a risque venue was not on her priorities.

[Leah kuso]

"Hmm?" Leah tilted her head, studying the woman "I dance in quite revealing clothes if that's what you mean. It's not a brothel or prostitution club though, there's strict rules on that kinda thing. Not going to just let some grubby man try that kinda stuff, no thank you" she laughed.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyvress let out a sigh of relief, she had been worried her question would be offensive, "So more just a general act? Do they have others besides dancing?"

[Leah kuso]

"Well we have serving people bringing drinks. There have been a few singers in the past too. It's a typical nightclub really" Leah smiled "you really should come by. I insist! Even if you don't come again, you should experience it at least once."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"If I have time...." And money she adds to herself, "But it does sound....neat."

"How did you end up working there if I could ask?"

[Leah kuso]

Leah considered what to say for a few moments, just eating the noodles, before she eventually spoke.

"I needed the money badly, and the place was an easy way to make good money. It might take me a while but eventually I'll earn enough money. Plus, while I didn't think I'd like it, I really enjoy dancing."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"I see," Jyvress nodded, but just turned to eating. She considered Leah's words and thought back to some of her days back in the core. Debt bondage hadn't been something she had been held too...but the librarian had heard of it's use. She earnestly hoped the Twi'lek's situation was not of that sort.

"So what do you plan to do when you pay off the debt?"

[Leah kuso]

"I dunno. Haven't really thought about to be honest, feel like it's so far away" Leah frowned "I'd kinda like to go visit some other planets, to see what they're like. Kinda like you've done, although hopefully not getting stuck on a random planet though. It would be cool, I bet there's so many cool things in this galaxy to see."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyvress smiled weakly, "Wondrous and terrible. But I hope you get the chance," She takes another bite of food, "Just remember...avoid cargo class if you can."

[Leah kuso]

"I'll make sure to only fly business class" Leah winked "maybe if you're staying around long enough I'll travel with you. Although I don't think you'll be here for years somehow."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Perhaps, or perhaps not." Jyrvess shrugged, "No point in leaving with just enough money for one more planet hop. And who knows...maybe I will end up liking it here."

She frowned a little and set her fork down, "But if I go back to travelling....I do so alone. It's...complicated to explain, but you would not want to do the sort of travelling I have."

[Leah kuso]

"You really do like to sound all mysterious dontcha" Leah said with a tilt of her head "are you some kind of wanted criminal?" There was a hint of teasing in her voice

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyvress sat her utensils down, and placed her hands on the table, "After...working for the Library I found myself employed by some...terrible people. Though not criminals in the sense you are thinking. Let's say my resignation was not well received and they are not the sort to let matters drop."

[Leah kuso]

"Oh."

Leah hadn't expected that.

"...Do you need somewhere to hide?"

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"You really don't want to offer me that," She shrugged, and looked out the window. Then leaned back and sighed, "I'm going soft, when I first walked out I wouldn't have told anyone my name let alone that. Ah well." Her smile turned wistful. "I'd prefer not to get people caught up in the mess."

[Leah kuso]

Leah shrugged.

"If things get bad offers open. I won't ask what you're involved in, but I'd like think if I can help I would. I think you can handle yourself though, I have a gut feeling on that."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Thank you, truly." Jyvress replied with a dip of her head, "And I have so far."

"I suppose it only fair to offer you a favor in return...I have some skills with computers and analysis." She lets out another sigh, "...particularly military intelligence analysis."

[Leah kuso]

"I'll remember that" Leah nodded, a smile on her face "don't need anything like that right now, but a friend is always nice to have, so don't feel like you need to do anything."

She took one of the napkins, writing on it and handing it over.

"My address. If you ever need it. It's super tiny though, just a warning."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyvress slid the offered napkin into her pocket, "Thank you again...I hope to not have to use it, as I said I don't want to bring my problems down on someone else."

"I've been in some tight spaces before." She chuckles, "It's amazing where you can sleep if you are tired enough."

[Leah kuso]

"It's a last resort" Leah nodded with a smile "I better go for now though. Need to prepare for work shift. It was lovely meeting you Jyrvess, take care of yourself ok? Come find me if you get into some hot waters."

She offered a hand to shake.
