A Troublesome Matter [Day 1, Early Afternoon]

[Solork Tan]

"Greetings." Solork bows to the assembled group. He eyes the guards, taking stock of the group. Perhaps he could take them, if he got lucky, but they appeared to all be well armed.

"We have come about the security work. Though, it would seem that you already have assembled a capable group. May I assume that you have a special task in mind Honorable Pakistan"

The Hurts liked that title. It would likely play well

[Roxi]

Roxi didn't look like much compared to all these security guards with blasters and what not. All she had was a bigger knife than the one Varina had. That was an important thing to note; but she wasn't sure if it was enough against six heavily armed guards. Still, she'd faced bad odds before of course. And it wasn't as if fighting them was the plan.

She allowed the guy in all the armor do the talking for now.

[Varina Ordo]

Seemed like letting the adult do the talking was the plan. Hopefully he wasn't three kids stacked on top of each other.

[Chos Pokosta]

"Certainly," he said, turning to the assembled group. Gesturing for the table just before him, "Come, take a seat that we might discuss. It is a simple matter, I assure you, but one that you will find offer a good reward. First, I would know of whom I am speaking. Tell me your names, your occupation, and what type of work it is that you normally do. Further, if you have names of reference to add credibility to your character I will accept those now as well."

[Varina Ordo]

Varina shot a glance at Roxi. They were supposed to have references?! Maybe that librarian could help vouch. She had literally given them money due to how tough they are.

After taking her seat, Varina smiled. "I'm Varina Ordo, Ordo being one of the great Mandalorian clans." She hoped that would suffice. Her occupation was mainly "protection racketeer" at the moment and even that had only lasted like a day thus far. And as much as she'd love to name drop her super, awesome mom, she couldn't just straight up USE her mom's name like that.

She looked to the others. Maybe mentioning that lady wouldn't be necessary. How could some lame book lady give any street cred?

[Solork Tan]

Solork slides into the seat, eyeing the others.

"Solork Tan of Pack Tan." Solork sets his forearms on the table. "I have been moving to new fields, but mercenary work in general. Guard duty, visible muscle, breach team. I prefer jobs that are not pure wetwork"

[Roxi]

Well, was she supposed to lie? If so, she wouldn't have any references! And that would be terrible, after the mandalorian and obviously-experienced mercenary introductions. Well, it'd be fine.

"Roxi," she said, "Formerly with the Revenants under Captain Nym," part of that sentence hurt to say, "I'm good in a close-up fight, I'm tough, and I once held my breath in the vacuum of space for *ten* minutes!"

[Honor]

Pokosta regarded the blood human, then dismissed the thought entirely. Looking among them he nodded his head slowly. "Acceptable, I believe. Now, on to your task.." he said, stepping forward toward the table and having one of his men bring over an image.



"Tybalt, my adoptive son, has grown older now and I fear his antics may disturb the company. However, those are not skills I am hiring you for. I aim to distance my overreaching hand and protect my son in a manner that he cannot simply dismiss. As a shareholder in my company he has oft convinced those I send to protect him that he has the power to remove them from that service. Further, he will evade any others who I send in their stead. Troublesome boy..." he remarked looking down at the image.

"Certainly, he is out in town even now. My request is one that.. comes at the inopportune time that my son has not returned home for some days. Find him, inform him I wish to speak with him, and then return with him here. That is your first task. 1000 credits will be delivered to your party on successful retrieval of my son from whatever hole he has.. from wherever he is."

[Solork Tan]

Solork looks over the picture and taps his fingers thoughtfully. A retrieval operation...even one that might technically fall into kidnapping was tame by comparison. If handled right, there would be no need for bloodshed.

Solork looks over the other two. I know I complained, but I would need help with the searching part. They would do nicely.

"What do you two think?"

[Varina Ordo]

Varina wondered if they could beat him up but she wasn't going to ask that out loud since that would be embarrassing.

"Sounds simple," she said with a lot of fake confidence.

[Roxi]

In her head, it was 1000 credits *each*; so that definitely sounded pretty great. Even if in reality it was a three way split. She had no idea how to find this guy, though. But who cared about *that* part?

"We can do that."

[Chos Pokosta]

"Excellent," he said, bringing his hands together. "My son is.. difficult, but should know what it means when I summon him. I would ask, as an addition to this assignment, if you could tell me of what he was doing out there. As I understand you are contractors you will be paid for whatever information you might offer at a reasonable rate."

"Once you have done this, we will discuss further employment and payment. Any questions?" he asked, looking between the group.

[Solork Tan]

"That all seems to be a fair request." Solork nods "One thousand seems appropriate for what you have asked. Is there any payment up front or entirely upon delivery?"

[Chos Pokosta]

"Upon delivery," he said, "There is little risk in this assignment and I imagine you have little need for equipment for a sojourn into the city."

[Varina Ordo]

Varina looked over to her partner-in-crime, Roxi. She made a small punching motion into her palm and a quizzical look because... well, she wasn't going to ask OUT LOUD if they could use violence but it was an important question.

[Roxi]

Roxi shrugged; seemed like it was implied, to her. If he wasn't going to come willingly, well then they'd have to force him, wouldn't they?

[Solork Tan]

"Very well. We should get to work then." Solork begins to rise. "Though it may seem like a silly question, because we will do everything we can to ensure that the merchandise is not damaged in transport, but I assume that things might be rough upon delivery. Is there an acceptable threshold of what we can inflict in the process?"

[Chos Pokosta]

"My son may be troublesome, and may not be blood," he says, looking out of the window as he replied. "However, mercenary, he carries the name Pokosta. You will not harm a hair on his head."

[Solork Tan]

"The parameter is reasonable and understood." Behind his mask, Solork allows savage grina. "And his compatriots?

[Chos Pokosta]

"I care not for the rabble my son busies himself with," he says with a dismissive wave of his hand.
