Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]

"Mr Screet seems more appropriate. Or we could just call you Luke." She turns to look at Manny, "I mean, no one famous is called Luke. Seems discreet enough to me. What about you Mr Gib?"

Jarvis smiled as he watched them interact, sneaking a moment over with the man sat right beside him and whispering something into his ear. With a small pat on the lower back the other man hopped up and walked elsewhere. Jarvis watched him go.

"Suppose that's up to you kids," he said, looking to Fuff. "Like I said, it's big cargo so you're gonna need a speeder and probably a bot that could load it. Unless you thinking the lot of you could make do. Expecting it back at this location.." he says, retrieving a small data-pad. Sliding the data-pad across the table he continued, "I'm not here to hold your hand. That's why you get paid more than a delivery boy. That said.. could always rent a speeder, or steal one, and the," he indicated the data-pad, "follow the coordinates on there and locate the crate. Bring it back unopened and you all get a size-able pay-day. Dig?"

[Fuff]

"Are we going against the clock because someone else is also looking for it?" Fuff took a butcher's at the datapad. "Luke sounds aspirational so it may fit, but Eldy has a ring to it too. I don't know. Can't we have both? He's just a man of manny names."

[Jarvis]

"Just not a patient man," he said with a grin. "Got places to be, things to do. Want that crate in my hands as soon as I can get it. Might even cough something up for expediency but," he flashed a grin over at Jyvress "don't bet on it too much."

[Munchfronta]

"Yo Mannieeeeeeeeeee how's it going? How're your friends? I can't see on account of the humano centric design of this establishment"

Jyvress raised a brow at the grin from Jarvis, "I can appreciate the need for haste." She smiles back, any further words are cut short when she heard the voice and say the ears which heralded the source.

She looked to 'Luke', "Mannnieeeeeee? No wonder you prefer LD."

"Haha! Ha ha!" Manny half-laughed, half-choked. "Yeah, this is my good friend. He's just playing this game we always play where we call each other by a fake name!" He looked around the table.

After a moment, he sighed, his shoulders slumping. "If you want, you can also call me Manny."

He waved to Munchfronta. "And this is my best bud, here. He's in, too." Manny nodded firmly.

"Haha! Ha ha!" Manny half-laughed, half-choked. "Yeah, this is my good friend. He's just playing this game we always play where we call each other by a fake name!" He looked around the table.

After a moment, he sighed, his shoulders slumping. "If you want, you can also call me Manny."

He waved to Munchfronta. "And this is my best bud, here. He's in, too." Manny nodded firmly.

"No way I'm letting my boy get into trouble without me, unless I'm on holiday or something. They call me 'Munch', mainly because it's my name but I was also real hungry as a kid so it all worked out in the end."

The Chadra-Fan tries to use his arms to leverage his upper torso up onto the table
"Real swell to being make all your acquaintances. You mighta heard of me though, I run the Resistance here in town."

The feline went silent, and his gaze turned peculiar, something with the pupils, as it was following the rodent's shenanigans in silence, and without pause. "Munch." He said finally, closing his jaw with a slight glint of his teeth, tilting whiskers. It was surely some kind of... greeting?

Jyvress eyed the two hostile seeming aliens, "Is there a history between you two?" Her mind thumbed through what she could recall about the two species, trying to remember if she should be sliding under the table and out the other side. Mrs BB had no desire to be in the no man's land if the two came to blows.

[Fuff]

"No. All is fine." The cat grinned, baring sharp teeth.

Munch's ears stood ramrod straight and his nails were making a quite but high pitched scraping sound against the table

"My," Jarvis remarked breaking the moment, "it's been some time since I witnessed tension like this. Quite the show you two, just can't decide what to do about it.." he thought, playing with the ideas around in his head. Some were pleasant, some were strange, some were probably a little speciesist.

Meanwhile the Mirialan shifted slightly against Fuff, glancing between the two completely lost.

Manny looked back and forth between the two. "Awkwarrrrrrrrd..." He murmured, not quite quietly enough, as he took a sip of his beer.

"So when are we doing this?" He asked suddenly. "Tomorrow? We should be able to rent a speeder, no problem."

[Fuff]

"Tomorrow sounds great, but I think dark hours would be better unless you like the scorching heat. I know I don't." Fuff reassured the Mirialan with a brush on her arm, having hid both teeth and fangs. "So Luke does the renting."

Jyvress nods in agreement with Fuff, "Sounds reasonable to me." She smiles, "Luke handles the speeder rental."

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah, uh, okay..." Manny cleared his throat. "Does anyone know just how much a speeder costs to rent? I'm sorta between gigs right now. Seems like my credits have been..." he held up a credit chit, then made it vanish with a flourish, "-disappearing."

He looked at Munch. "We might be able to get one at a discount." Stealing, of course. "But what about a lifter droid? Can't just grab one of those off the street."

[Fuff]

"What if we found one a factory or a warehouse doesn't currently need, and spur it toward one-day desert adventure by some convincing in binary I don't know much of but maybe BB does, hypothetically?" Fuff had pegged her as the nerd in the group that maybe could slice. "I could perhaps look for such a droid if this feels doable for any of you."

"I have...a little talent with computers but its..." She pauses for a moment considering then just shrugs, "Codebreaking and cipher work. I can do some hacking just through familiarity from my previously mentioned skills. I also have picked up a lot of general knowledge that might help in that regard."
