Manny smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, I know. It's funny, as a kid, I always wanted to grow up, and be cool. But I don't know. I think I never had a chance to learn what being grown up means. I used to think it was all about making it big, but..." He shook his head. "Well, I don't think that anymore."
The Banthas shot, but it just missed. Manny groaned in relief.
His smile grew gentler. "And I'm glad you're having a good time. And more than that... you know you can trust me, right? For whatever? Like, crime stuff or resistance stuff, but also just for whatever."

"I wouldn't have said as much if I didn't trust you." She reached over and put a hand on his shoulder. "You're my friend and comrade. And I would be honored to topple an Empire with you." Jyrvess laughs at how stupid she sounded, and how much she actually believed what she said. But maybe this is how rebellion began.

"Yeah? Yeah!" Manny said, grinning. "Alright, let's do it. You and me, and our friends, like Raven, and Vince..." He chuckled, shaking his head. "It's not exactly what I pictured for a rebellion. Well, maybe the Mandalorians... but anyway, I think we can do it."
The Bantha's managed to lock down the Manka Cats, and got a shot in. "Nooooo! Ughhhhhhhhhhhh..." Manny said dramatically, throwing his arms up in the air. His lips twitched as he gave Jyrvess a sidelong look, judging her reaction.

Jyrvess laughed, hard enough she almost doubled over at his reaction to the opposing team scoring. It wasn't really that funny...were she being honest, but a lot of laughter had built up over the years of running and it seemed that the slow trickle over the last few days finally burst.
"Sorry....sorry, your face when the other team scored."

"Hey!" Manny did his best to look indignant, but he was struggling not to laugh. "You're not supposed to laugh! It's terrible when the other team scores!"
He held his indignant look for another few seconds, but then burst out laughing himself. His chest shook as he sank back into the couch. "Nah, you're totally right. It was pretty funny. And... it's good to see you having fun, y'know?"
A buzzer rang, and the players shuffled off the field. "Half-time." Manny said, "You want another one? Don't forget to try the snacks, too." He rose from the sofa, moving to the fridge.

"Nah it's alright," Jyrvess laid back in the sofa, "How long is the half-time usually? Long enough to get snacks at a concession stand I wager."
She wiped a few tears from her eyes, "Also laughing is therapeutic! It helps you cope with grief. Like your Manka Cats losing."
