Starting With a Bang [Day 5, Mid-Evening]

Jyrvess was about to respond when she heard the speech. She had seen better speakers, heard better speeches, but the former governor's speech did feel heartfelt. It certainly excited some in the crowd.

Jyrvess decided to remain optimistic and quiet, so a smile was her applause.

As it died down, she pulled out a datapad and brought up the shipping information acquired at the party. "Well then former KSF, what do you make of this." Again it was a bit of a gamble...he could be anyone, or who he said he was but working for the new order, but Jyrvess felt the need for the dramatic after the speech.

Raven groaned internally as she shifted in her seat. Where were the words of crushing their enemies, see them driven before you...

Seeing that others were applauding, she gave a few half-hearted claps as she looked around to see what kind of people, apart from the ones she knew, had decided to join up here.

[Manny Donos]

Manny leaned over to Raven, whispering to her. "See, ideally, what you want for something like this is an opener of some kind. Someone up on stage, maybe doing a few tricks, maybe a joke or two. 'I just flew in from Coruscant, and boy are my arms tired!' That sort of thing. Then you move into the serious stuff."

He nodded confidently. "Maybe I'll suggest that for next time."

[Euvid]

Euvid clapped. 'This was it,' she thought. 'The Empire is going to learn that if you keep pushing, eventually someone will push back.'

Euvid started moving toward those she felt shared her fire.

Roxi had been in the crowd, somewhere, probably half asleep; woken up by the sound of applause and forced to remember why she was here; just to be on the safe side, she started clapping along with everyone else, a confused look on her face... Oh right, she... still wasn't entirely sure of the specifics, but the gist of it was that people were upset; and they were aiming to *do* something about it. Sounded good to her.

"I think you.." he said as he looked to Tranq after taking a quick look at the datapad, "and maybe your friend here should definitely join us backstage so we can get to talking a lot more about what we plan to do here. Do you mind?" he asked, holding his hand out for the Data-pad.

"Uhhh..." Manny looked around. "Most of us here aren't warriors. We're just ordinary people. I mean... what even is a warrior, anyway?"

He shrugged. "And maybe they don't care about glory. They just want to be left alone."

She stood up from her seat, a slow progress. "We are here to fight, aren't we? Or did I misunderstand the purpose of this meeting?"

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"I think you.." he said as he looked to Tranq after taking a quick look at the datapad, "and maybe your friend here should definitely join us backstage so we can get to talking a lot more about what we plan to do here. Do you mind?" he asked, holding his hand out for the Data-pad.

"I would like it returned please, I can copy the data if you feel it useful." Jyrvess hesitantly handed him her datapad.

[Euvid]

She stood up from her seat, a slow progress. "We are here to fight, aren't we? Or did I misunderstand the purpose of this meeting?"

"I was led to believe we were prepping for a fight," Euvid said as she walked up to the Mandalorian and Human. She looked both of them in the eyes and then said, "I'm Euvid, by the way." She held out her hand. "I'm also a soldier."

"Semantics," the Mandalorian woman said, but offered a hand to the stranger. "Point is, we're gathering because our purpose is to fight."

"I'm Raven Cadera."

"I'm Manny. I'm a magician." Nodding seriously, Manny held out his hand, too.

Euvid shook Manny's hand as well. "Well, Raven & Manny, that's fortunate because I'm ready to fight. Does anyone have any ideas? I made no progress trying to find leads about the mine or other potential targets yesterday."

[Xahr Kuhr]

"Of course," he said, taking the datapad into his hand. "It won't even have to leave your sight," he said, beckoning him forward. Slowly, but surely. A few key members walked into the back room, and for those interested they were welcomed into the back room to discuss just how they might go about starting this fight.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess smirked a little at his response, then looks to the shark, "Well Mr Tranq..." She shrugged and followed her datapad into the backroom.

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Good speech. Good speeches don't win wars, though." He nodded to Jryvess, and followed her, to see what would be further discussed.

[Lysa]

"Semantics," the Mandalorian woman said, but offered a hand to the stranger. "Point is, we're gathering because our purpose is to fight."

"I'm Raven Cadera."

Lysa continued kicking her legs during the speech smiling as she leaned back on the table she looked over to Raven "Hey Ray Ray when to they tells what we are gonna blow up. These things always have explosions and stuff that needs blown up don't they?"

[Xahr Kuhr]

In the back-room the setting was far more intimate, big figures started to seem like just people. Deera sat in a chair while a few individuals surrounded her and asked questions, made plans. They spoke calmly, casually, every word they said she heard and listened with her full attention.

Xahr, however, lead Jyvress and Tranq, as they were the two who first followed him in, to a small terminal just nearby. Hooking the pad up he patted a small mostly-broken astromech which beeped happily at his touch. "Get us a copy, won't you?" he asked the droid, it beeped happily again.

Euvid shook Manny's hand as well. "Well, Raven & Manny, that's fortunate because I'm ready to fight. Does anyone have any ideas? I made no progress trying to find leads about the mine or other potential targets yesterday."

"Mine?" that wasn't something Raven knew anything about. Or what these targets were supposed to be.

Seeing people of note being guided to the backroom, she figured they might learn more there. "Let's follow those, see what we can learn then."
