Serving Drinks 1 (D1 ME)

[Dross Stargazer]

Dross is at work, serving drinks for an ungrateful populace.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Her business finished up Jyvress took a seat at the bar and waved at the bar tender. "Something to drink please." She smiled at the grouchy looking man, hoping he was as professional as he seemed. Getting pelted with a drink was not on the menu tonight.

[Dross Stargazer]

"What 'cha want?" Dross asked.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"What would you recommend?" She asks, her Corellian accent slipping through, "Err well what you recommend that is on the lighter side. Something to warm a person up without impairing them."

[Dross Stargazer]

Dross lists a few of the local favorites in a Corsucant accent as his player is not a drinker and has no idea what 'light drink' is.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"You're from the Core regions?" Jyvress starts a little as she recognizes the accent. She points to one of the listed drinks. "Coruscant?"

[Dross Stargazer]

Dross nods as he begins preparing the drink. "Yeah. I miss it sometimes. Maybe I'll go back some day. What about you? Corellia?" Dross gave a genuine smile. It was nice to talk to someone from civilized space.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Yes, but I spent most of my life on Courscant." She leaned on the bar, "I worked in the Library of the Republic up until." Jyvress's smile wavered, "Well the management change."

[Dross Stargazer]

Dross just nods and keeps any pro-Imperial thoughts to himself. "So, what brings you out here? I am sure plenty of the core worlds could use your line work than more than many of these outer worlds."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Needed a break from the politics in the core." She thumps the bar a little, "Trying to sort out my life and how its changed in the changing galaxy you might say."

"What brings you out here, if I may ask. From big city to rather backwoods locale."

[Dross Stargazer]

"Same old story. Got a job. Didn't work out. Now, I'm here." Dross gives a slightly bitter chuckle. "I learned that next time, quit when you have a chance to get back home."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Some truly sage advice." Jyvress nods in serious agreement, "There are worse places to end up then here though. I might even say that while it lacks the grandeur of Corellia...it's a lot cleaner. And not nearly as crowded as Courscant."

[Dross Stargazer]

"I never minded the crowds so much. What I truly miss is how easy it was to get on a ship there. Sure, they might squeeze free labor out of you, but you could be in space. Where man is meant to be." Another customer waves for him, and Dross heads over and takes of him. Afterwards, Dross decides to wipe down the bar by Jyrvesse. He's enjoying the conversation even if he suspects she's not a fan of the Empire.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyvress sipped her own drink while Dross was off serving another customer, she smiled slightly at his return, "It's easy to give free labor when you are stout or skilled with machines. My case was a bit different. I'm not much of a spacer." She drummed her fingers on the bar, "I guess for me...I'm enjoying not being so packed in, easy to lose yourself in the masses." Which was an advantage sometimes....

"I assume you enjoyed ship life? Even out here I would think someone with the talent for it could find a crew in need."

[Dross Stargazer]

"Maybe in time. Ships here aren't leaving for a quick jaunt. More of a commitment. 'Sides, I owe Neera. He helped me after I left my former employer."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"It's good to have friends," Jyvress replied, turning her drink. "Or at the very least people of the sort willing to help a stranger."

"What did you do on ship? Pilot? Navigator?"

[Dross Stargazer]

"Well when I was younger, it was whatever got me on the ship. Usually loading. I have some ability in both piloting and navigation, though. Nothing like being in the cockpit."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Cockpit?" Jyvress raised an eyebrow, "Small craft jocky? Shuttle pilot or racer?" Another light chuckle, "I thought you meant big ships."

[Dross Stargazer]

"Well, I trained for small craft. Though I'm not flying anything right now. Though size doesn't matter. It's just being in space." This was getting dangerous close to specific information on his past. "So, are you starting a library here?" Maybe there was one already? Dross wasn't the sort of guy to look for one.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"I've only been a passenger on spaceships. 'Cargo class' is what the freight captain called my flight here."

After a moment she muses, "I wouldn't mind that sort of employment...but it's a bit off the table at the moment. I suppose if and when things normalize...maybe?"
