As they moved him, from what they could tell, he was conscious. Reacting to the lights as they moved through but he hung his head low. For a long time his spirit was sapped, the walls were dreary and bright and the company sour and abusive.

Whatever soul he had was buried deep, if it survived at all.

Fuff felt sorry for the guy, but what he mostly felt was relief. First, because his tail was finally freed, and second because it was over. This had been very stressful and the bravado of their attempt had only been catching up with him.

He had mostly winged it. Was it the best way to do crazy things like that?

".....Yeah." Dross leads the way to the shortcut. Maintaining caution, Dross tries to stop himself from being lost in thought.

Once they were on the transport and on their way, Jaxom sat next to the mirialan.

"We have you somewhere safe soon." he carefully offered some water.

The Judge followed silently, his mind already turning over what to do about this facility, this blight on his planet. He is silent for a long moment after they reach the transport, looking at the Mirialan. Once safely aboard, he asks quietly: "What are we to do about the rest of this place?"

Parched, the man nodded slowly, trying his best to drink.

"Nothing tonight." he shook his head in response to Ters. "Once they realize he's gone, the Empire will be here in force."

Ters nodded patiently. "True. And then? It is a curious place, with many people the Empire would like to be hidden away. I would suggest giving the ones throwing the grenades around the schematics, but a mass escape may not be to the good of the planet. And yet, it is difficult to ignore the suffering it produces."

"In time." he nodded. "One way or another, we'll find a way to deal with it."

"I briefly had the idea to somehow hack into their system and release all locks but given the condition of our friend here I doubt they could even fight their way back to freedom." Fuff sighed. "I don't think we can win with the Empire in any substantial way anyway. It's like the apex predator, and we're lower in the food chain. The best we can do is keep getting away."

Ters turned his head to look at Fuff. "The Republic fell. Why not an Empire? I do agree that as we are we have no way to truly fight and win. But I do not think we will always be so powerless. The Imperial Government are many, but the people of the galaxy are many, many more."

"The Republic fell long before it became the Empire." Ursae shook his head. "Those of us who fought for freedom from that corruption, didn't fair so well. There may be some hope to overcome it all, but we'll have to look for it."

"There's no love lost between my people and the former Republic and its Jedi. Them and what's going on now are two sides of the same coin, a leviathan rolling over smaller worlds to impose their ways. The colour of the glove on the hand changed, is all." Farghul nodded to Jaxom, then shrugged. "At least slavery and forced displacement weren't a thing, so maybe it was a bit better. But probably not by much."
