Where it All Begins Again [Day 4, Mid-Morning]

Sat among the desperate of Kamda, who have all come to find shelter here, Deera sits and talks with them. They share their grievances and she hears them, speaks with them in a way that make them feel heard. Many say that they wish she was never removed from her position as governor. Many more believe that she will show them something better.

They hope, and she inspires hope.

[Tosath Nazora]

A normally scheduled day off for Tosath meant a regularly scheduled day at the shelter. He was there, tending to the medical concerns of those that had nowhere else to go for such things. Today, however, most of the folks were gathered around one figure. The doctor moved closer to see what all the fuss was about, joining the last patient who was also interested in seeing Deera.

[Deera]

"Ah, Medical Officer Tosath Nazora," Deera said, beckoning him closer as she was sat with someone's child on her lap. Bouncing them gently. "Come, share in this moment with me. You above all over deserve a glance," she said, a warm smile.

[Tosath Nazora]

The doctor smiled and moved to join Deera. "I was wondering who was drawing all this attention. How are you doing little one?" he asks the child, with a playful smirk. "Having fun with Lady Deera?"

[Deera]

The little one babbled a little at Tosaths, exciteably. They were a species that matured physically faster but mentally slower than most humans.

"It is good to see that even in these times there are little ones like this filled with joy and wonder. Wouldn't you agree? Yet.. so much work that needs to be done to see they retain the brightness of their youth."

[Tosath Nazora]

He nods in agreement. "Providing somewhere safe for our children to grow up is the most important thing we can strive for. It's not easy but it is worthwhile. A smile on a child's face is worth all the effort I can muster."

He says 'our children' even though he doesn't have any of his own. But after the past half-decade here on Kamda there were definitely dozens of kids running around that he had delivered. They may not be his kids but he had been part of their life in a small way at least.

[Deera]

"Yes.. it is the most important thing to give to our children a world that is better than the one we were given," she said, bouncing the little baby. Looking to them as it coos and wiggles happily. "When we think of this it is easy to sacrifice for them."

[Euvid]

Euvid walked into the community center. It had taken her a couple days to get her bearings and then the civil disobedience took her some time. However, she needed information and the most likely place to find leads seemed to be here. Her emerald eyes quickly scanned and registered everything that was happening. She continued inward looking for someone who worked here. They would have to have heard something for her to go on.

[Tosath Nazora]

"It happens far too often, that people are called upon to sacrifice for their fellows. I hate that the world makes is such a place that demands sacrifice. Too much is taken from us when a person walks that path, whether by their choice or someone else forcing their hand."

[Deera]

"Yet.. some of us must do it all the same. That others will not have to, and all the future generations might find themselves able to live and breathe of freer air," she said. "You could staunch that flow, couldn't you?" she looked to him, met his eyes. Their was a serious intention in her voice.

"Be willing to risk, so that you might save some lives that otherwise not be saved?"

[Honor]

Euvid walked into the community center. It had taken her a couple days to get her bearings and then the civil disobedience took her some time. However, she needed information and the most likely place to find leads seemed to be here. Her emerald eyes quickly scanned and registered everything that was happening. She continued inward looking for someone who worked here. They would have to have heard something for her to go on.

There are a few people moving about that have a small lanyard thing as denoting they work here. Most people here, however, are here for the relief centers services. Still, looking around for the lanyard that denotes them was easy enough to do.

[Tosath Nazora]

"Some are capable of greater things through sacrifice than others are. To die for your people is noble... to live for them means you must witness their suffering even as you try to ease it. But some of us are just not strong enough to protect another as an Angel would, despite our willingness. Some of us must be devoted to saving those Angels that would watch over us. Because sometimes they need saving just as much as those they protect."

[Deera]

"I am certain," she said, placing her hand on his shoulder, "That such an angel could rely on you," she smiled.

Lowering her arm down, she held out her hand for his.

[Tosath Nazora]

"I need only know who they are and they could count on me to help them however I can," he said with a nod, offering his hand to Deera. "Because it will take more than one person to protect the future of these children. And the more that take up that cause the better we all are for it."

[Deera]

Holding his hand firm she smiled, "That is good to know, I am certain you will find them."

Pulling her hand away, Deera left a small slip of paper in his hand. On there, a quick set of instructions that would guide him to a hideout they have in the city(*Tenasas Hideout). Probably should burn that message first chance he gets.

[Euvid]

Euvid walks up to a worker wearing a lanyard who is not too busy.

"Good morning. I'm looking for some information and I'm wondering if you would be able to help me or point me in the direction of someone who might," Euvid said in a friendly tone.

[Honor]

"I could help you!" she said happily. "Even if I can't, I can get you in touch with someone who can. What were you hoping to find?"

[Euvid]

With a fire in her eyes and in a hushed voice, "I'm looking for some information about what's going on over at the mine. Also, any other vulnerable Imperial assets. Any information you or your contacts provide will not be traced back to you."

Euvid scanned around the room, "Maybe get you some medical supplies or something useful the Imperials 'lost'"

[Honor]

"I.. uh.." the girl looked at Euvid with wide eyes. Stunned. "I don't think.." she stammered, not really sure what to do with her arms or herself at all. Just a young girl working at a relief center who wasn't expecting this today.

Nervously, "Ma'am, I think you should leave. Please. Right now, please."

[Tosath Nazora]

"I certainly expect it should not be too difficult to find someone to help in these times," he says with a nod, not looking at the paper immediately. "It was good talking with you Lady Deera, but I do not wish to distract you from the people here that need your support. I should get back to my own work as well."

He smiled at her as he stood and moved back to where he had been working before.
