"Stop them" Leah said quickly. Shooting to kill wasn't her first thought ever but it was clear that Mallory was thinking that. She brought up the gun, in kill mode, and fired a decent shot.

Mallory nodded, stepping aside and giving Leah the room to bring her blaster up again. When she fired, Mallory was all eyes on Leah. Watching her form, and the certainty with which she held the blaster. Only after the blaster made contact with the target did she look over, the hole burning in the target just above and to the right of a bullseye.

"Good," she said, "hold it steady. Focus. Only point it at something you don't mind killing, you'll have it in no time," she said.

"And the kick on this is less? What's it like on a rocket launcher" Leah said with a small chuckle, looking at where the shot landed. She took a small breath, then fired again. This shot however was not as good, her aim being slightly off and her form slightly worse than the first time.

"They don't actually have any recoil," she commented absently. "Keep shooting," she said, walking back toward her gun cabinet.

"Really? But they're huge, and fire rockets" Leah was surprised, and her aim was off again. She frowned.

"Sorry, I'm losing focus." She went quiet and fired another one, this time it was back on point again.

[Mallory]

Mallory came back, watched her a moment, and sighed lightly, "Alright," she said. Walking up to Leah she put down the blaster in her hand on a small table. Walking up behind her she brought her arms up to hers and tested them to see if they were sturdy. "Relax here, you want good positioning like this" she said, directing Leah's hold.

"Back straight," she said, bringing the back-side of a firmly planked hand along her upper back.

"Legs," she kicked a foot against both her feet until they were in position, "you want a strong stance."

"Now, look at the target, and in the case of defense, remember, it's you or it. Choose it, now shoot."

Leah managed not to say 'ow' at the kicking, adjusting her stance and straighten her back as she eyed up the target. The 'you or it' made it feel more real, and she fired two shots in quick succession. The first was a perfectly lined up shot, and the second one for the quick speed was pretty good as well.

"Good," she clapped Leah on the shoulder. Coming around the side of the girl she pushed the blaster toward the ground before taking it away, not forcefully of course. Careful to take it off active, she put it down on the same table she brought the other blaster. Taking that one instead she handed it to Leah.

"Hold-out Blaster, for you," she said.

[Leah kuso]

"Oh, really?" Leah looked surprised, but accepted the blaster and looked it over. It was so much smaller than the other one, which was a good thing as her hands were tiny. She put it into her jacket.

"Thanks Mal-I mean sir" she smiled "for the training and the blaster. I feel safer now, and ready to help the boss more."

[Mallory]

"Mal," she said, corrected. Grabbing the tall-neck bottle again. Taking a drink from it while she walked into the center of her little space.

"Just be careful," she said.

[Leah kuso]

"I will. I'm not likely to go out fighting on the front lines, but I didn't want you and the other shooty types having to protect everyone if I do something like defend myself a little" Leah said, nodding "despite everything, I do like the club. And working for Vex, although she scares me sometimes. Plus those assholes are coming and disrupting the natural order, that's not the Kamda way."

[Mallory]

"Why is-" she shook her head, looked away. Swirling the liquid in her bottle. Finding herself a seat, "Don't have to worry about me and mine, we'll get our job done."

[Leah kuso]

"Never worried about you doing your job. Just want to give you less stress" Leah said, raising her bottle of water to the woman in a tribute "and truly, I don't mean to tease or annoy you. Really I don't, so like...sorry for before. We can be partners or friends now instead of at ends with each other. I hadn't expected what happened today, and I kinda think I'm processing everything still, but it's good to at least understand the situation."

[Mallory]

"It's not easy, what you saw. Takes time to come to terms with realizing the world runs a little differently than we expect. Honest, I was looking forward to it," she said, taking another drink from her glass. "Wanted to see how that smug face of yours might look afterwards. See.. I don't know," she shrugged. "Vex wanted it, I was happy to oblige."

"Seen a few things today that take some time to work out I think" Leah commented thoughtfully, then paused. "Hey wait, you wanted to see me what...struggle or cry or something?"

She chuckled.

"Sheesh Mal, I'm not that bad. I'm just the happy type, it's in my nature."

[Mallory]

"Yea," she shrugged, "always got under my skin a little. It's good though.. hold onto it, if you can," she said, pushing herself up out of her seat and finishing off the bottle. Walking over, halfway toward the door, she indicated it with a backward nod.

"Best you get on your way, I should return to work."

[Leah kuso]

"Thanks Mal" Leah said, getting up and putting the bottle down on the table "I'll try to. However, sleep sounds like a fantastic thing right now. I'll try to find more time to practice, but there's not many places you can just shoot a blaster" she laughed, heading towards the door "you up all night then?"

[Mallory]

"It's the job," she shrugged, walking her toward the door.

"If you need the space.. come by, just ask," she said, opening the door and stepping so that Leah had a clear way out.

"I will. Thanks!" Leah said with a smile, going to step out before stopping.

"Hey, can I ask something...kind of odd."

[Mallory]

"Shoot," she said, holding the door as she stood there firm.
