"Let me help you. Like you've helped me. Nobody needs to die this day Arwen" she reached out a hand towards the man, giving him a smile. She was freezing, and her body was barely able to stand the cold, but she hoped he could feel the warmth from inside at least. Having no idea if it worked or anything with zero experience....

Again, he tries, his brow furrows but he isn't able to break through. Perhaps it was something she said, perhaps he simply wasn't dealing with another force user, but he couldn't manage to accomplish the task he set out to.

"Damnit!" he shouted, bringing his blades up. "Jedi! You stop me, or I'm hurting her," he said, turning toward Leah. Moving forward with an insidious step.

Phroth stepped in, moving to interpose himself between the Inquisitor and Leah. His saber cast him in a green light, yet he didn't move to swing it.

"If you were going to hurt anyone, you'd have already done it. Believe me, I know killers, and you haven't acted like one." His tone was calm, but he wouldn't allow him to strike at her.

Not without getting through him.

Sol sees them trying to talk the masked man down. It seemed like the right thing to do. As he had mentioned to Cartess, so many things could have led him to be in this place right now.

"Listen to them. There is no such thing as too late."

"I was like you. I was sent to kill men and women because they worshiped the Force. Me and my pack killed them but that was only the end. We didn't just kill fifty, we killed hundreds. And I was good at it!" Sol keeps his sword in a guarded stance. Tranq knew that he used a sword, and that his style was nothing like the Jedi taught. The Guardians had explained that the forms had been saying to center themselves, and to better understand the intertwine between body and spirit.

Sol has learned to kriffing kill someone with a blade.


"It wasn't for vengeance, it wasn't for greed. It was because I liked it. The monks were nothing, the monastery was nothing. Have you heard of a Gank killer? We are the monsters that mothers whisper to their children at night, the creatures the Hutts send after their worst enemies when they don't care about collateral damage. I was the monster that kept sobbing children awake at night!" Sol takes a deep breath and centers himself. "And it wasn't too late for me. Listen to the girl."

With both Sabers he came in with a strike, but Tranq was able to expertly defend against it. Lightsabers burned against one another, they screamed and cried out, and just at a pivotal moment Tranq was able to push Arwen off of his blade. In that moment, however, Arwen saw the opportunity, steeled his resolve.

"If you won't be decisive, I will. Last chance, don't make me make you understand," he said, his tone grim and his expression immutable.

"But I do understand! I know how you're feeling. Listen to me, you don't have to go through this. You don't need to fight, to kill. You can move on past this, and become something better. I don't hate you, I'm not afraid. I just want to help you" Leah said, trying to be convincing. It really wasn't, the cold starting to affect her, but perhaps a spark might finally get through... or it might make him turn on her.

"I know you do," he relents, giving Leah that, "but you can't. Only he can, first he just needs to understand.." he looks to Tranq, and his lightsaber. Inhaling deep he focused inward, felt inward, and then with a sudden lashing out of his hand Leah is sent flying from the top of the mountain. Falling quickly beneath the cloud-layer they stood over. Out of sight.. too late to save. Already gone.

Meanwhile.. Leah feels herself in free-fall for the next few moments. Terror was sure to grip her at this time, but it wasn't the end of her story... it wasn't even the end of her efforts in this one..

[Using Arwen's turn here for something special, utilizing the Despair to give him the opportunity and due to the nature of this event I am sacrificing Four Dark Side destiny in this moment, as to show the significance of it. As far as Solork and Tranq are aware, Leah is gone. This isn't a normal action but something more to drive the story forward dramatically.]

The feeling of Leah being pushed off was overwhelming. Part of him wanted to lash out in anger but... he trusted in the Force, in the words of his Master. Had he not spoken with her, through the Force, then perhaps he would let his anger guide him. But no one is ever really gone.

His stance shifted, as he focused his attack, the thermal cloak keeping most of the cold away, and his own training allowing him to overcome the defense. Destiny shifted, as a Deathblow was delivered, the great saber coming down hard against his foe, delivering a solid Head Ringer.

"Is this really what you want!?"

"I'm sorry for failing you." The grip tightens on his sword. "Both of you. That ends now."

Solork steps in from the other side of Tranq, the metal blade scything at the Inquisitors neck, but scutters on the armor

[Arwen]

"It's everything I've ever wanted for the last seven years," he says, his voice hollow. Deflecting each of the blows, it was Tranqs who got through to him the most. Wounded, he knelt down from the hit and seemed to recoil there for a moment. With his head down.. he focused.. masking it with the wound.

Meanwhile.. Leah suddenly felt herself falling slower, and slower, when truly it was her being pushed less and less. Eventually, she came to a soft stop, dropped onto a small patch of ground and into the snow of the mountain. With the distance she was far, very far, but she could theoretically make it back up to the top of the mountain. If she had the time.

[Leah has to move from Extreme + 1 to Short in order to be back on the summit. If she performs one of the following Actions she can move two range bands for the price of the one action, if successful: Athletics at Average, Coordination at Average, or if she still has the Ascension Pistol from the other day, she may used that as well. Ranged Light at Average.]

Remember: Extreme to Long is Two Maneuvers, Long to Medium is also Two Maneuvers, then you get to 1 Band per Maneuver again.

Standing, Arwen looked back at Tranq and Solork, "Now.." he says, looking to Tranq, "you have truly begun to understand."

When the falling slowed and came to a stop, Leah looked around extremely confused. What had just happened?

Did...did he push me off then put me down gently?

Leah rubbed her arms as she stood up.

He doesn't want to kill me. Leah was sure about that as she picked up her pace, running towards where the others were. It would be a while but she'd get there!

Knowing just how to maneuver her body to greater effect of movement, Leah managed her way up the mountainside quickly, effecitvely. Moving like it mattered, because it did matter.

In a whirling dervish he launched himself forward, coming at Tranq with a brutal fury in his action. Though his concentration failed him, he had enough sense on how to move that he was able to turn off the whining in his ear by closing out his mind to it.

How many times did those I killed say that to me, I wonder

But the time for philosphy, as poignant as it might have been seemed silly when Tranq was in so much trouble. He was the only one seemingly doing any damage to this thing.

Sol moves close to the injured shark person, dropping this shield and sticking Tranq with a stimpack, trying to keep him up in the face of another possible incoming strike.

"I can't," he says, launching himself upward and striking at Solork. Both of his blades coming down but being blocked by a shield thrust into his arms. Staggering the strike.

All three squared off, a triangular formation on the summit. Stepping back once, he looked at them both and flashed something of a grin.

"Come on then, Jedi," he said, looking to Tranq. Panting from the exhaustion of it all. "Let's finish this.."

Before anyone else could react, Arwen went in again, aided by the distraction he got in a decent strike. Red blades cut into Solork with a fury, but in his fury the hold on his saber came undone. Servos whirring and sputtering his mechanical fingers, under the glove, stopped working and after the slash the light-saber dropped into the snow.

Nearly breathless, Leah finally ran between them, putting her hands up between them. Standing more as a barrier than

"This doesn't...have to go this way. Please. Listen. Don't fight." She said each part between breaths, exhausted from her run but determined. She looked to Arwen, saying "You din't kill me. You protected me. You don't need to go through this. Please."

She turned her hand to him, as if offering it to him, her eyes looking into his. In her other hand was a stimpack, clearly intending to heal Arwen if he'd allow her to.
