[Fuff]

Fuff had stayed at Favna for some numbers to appease disgruntled clientele, but now even he was finally tired, lingering at the bar, re-oiling vocal cords, and looking around for no particular purpose.

[Honor]

Not many individuals still puttered around this late, but tonight was different with the scene that transpired and was still transpiring down by the City Hall. All around Kamda people felt fear, either directly through how the soldiers handled the protesters or the sight of the Star Destroyer slowly descending from above that it rested over their city.

Nerra, however, held himself with the same dignity as always as he approached in front of Fuff, "What'll you have," he said, pulling up a glass and placing it in front of Fuff.

[Fuff]

"What goes down best at this hour, in these circumstances." Fuff replied, looking up at the bespectacled Twi'lek with some fatigue.

[Nerra]

"Something straight, something hard," he said, putting it together for Fuff and putting it in front of him. "Sometimes it's better to face the truth right in front of you. Don't you think?"

[Fuff]

"Actually, I do think that. Except I am not a fan of facing explosive truths. To those truths, I prefer to build some distance in order to keep the ability to face anything after." He shrugged. "I suppose this is what you meant by sometimes?"

[Nerra]

"A creative interpretation," he said, putting his elbow on the table, letting his hand hang in front of his face as they spoke, "but just about. So, where're you from, Fuff. Had you coming in here for a while now but I'm afraid I don't quite have your story yet, usually doesn't take this long for me to get to it but times are busy."

[Fuff]

"Probably because I have all the stories at this point. All the experiences, all the joys and scars. And come from all places so much that the place where all the Farghul are from is a distant memory." Fuff drank. "Make no mistake about my youthful looks, Nerra, my species maturates twice to thrice as yours. I've been this age for a while."

He was more open than usual since his painful memories had just resurfaced during the riots, but still a bit wary. "And why would you care about knowing my story?"

[Nerra]

"I have made no guesses on your age, my friend. I've been around in the galaxy enough to know not to make such foolish assumptions about another being. However, wouldn't you say that's the point of a story, isn't it? To let it be told and heard by others so it can be retold later. Give some people strength in writing their own stories, let them learn from your triumphs and mistakes. Or.." he said, looking around to the room. "Just gives you a sense of being heard, being known. Doesn't help right away, but it does."

[Fuff]

"My story is utterly banal. Naivete and bravado followed by a brutal crash with reality, followed by a long and typical struggle for survival. There are billions stories like that in the galaxy," He drank. "There's little more to it."

[Nerra]

"Yet, your's is the only one exactly of it's kind," he said. "No more important, but no less either. "

[Fuff]

"It's hard for me to think so." Fuff said after a pause. "I've seen my own trials and failings in so many others."

[Nerra]

"Each more unique than the last, and yet such commonalities. Would you not say that this just proves the importance of you sharing your story, that others might learn from these mistakes, perhaps?"

[Fuff]

"I can distil that lesson and spare the time: don't do principled things unless you have sufficient power to back them up."

[Nerra]

"Should even a powerless man not hold himself and others to certain principles?" he ventured a jab.

[Fuff]

"Depends on the principles. But few justify getting yourself and others killed." The cat's nose crinkled at a difficult emotion. "I don't have what it takes to send people to their deaths. In fact, I convinced some of the dissenters today to go home, knowing what would have happened otherwise."

[Honor]

"A commendable effort," he says stretching an arm. Shifting the way he leaned on the table. "You see, I would have asked nothing less of anyone who went there. I think for too many they believe that their principles are worth dying over, and they very well may be but.. I have learned over the years that with a bit of patience and resolve you can do more. You can accomplish the very same goals without losing so many lives."

[Fuff]

"Must be some arcane knowledge. The Empire is powerful both in the light and in the dark." Fuff looked up.

[Nerra]

"Powerful, true, but just because they are powerful does not mean they have their own blind-spots, or weaknesses that we can't exploit," he said.

[Fuff]

"I mean, I've been finding such discrete blind spots, but they're usually not wider than an eye of a needle. Cat-sized, so to speak." Fuff allowed himself some humour because he didn't enjoy being too gloomy.

[Nerra]

"Perhaps, then, it would be best if there was a cat-sized individual available to aid in some efforts. Ones that will.. soon, become very needed for the people of Kamda."
