A Little Info for A Little Pirate (D4 MM)

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess yawned, she hadn't been up long...but still managed to beat her 'client' to the rendezvous. Sadly her expedition to the library had only come up with a few good tidbits. Still better then nothing...and she could always keep looking.

[Roxi]

Jyrvess was in luck; while Roxi had been given the option of lodgings on the moon, she'd thus far elected to stay here on the ground in the slums instead. Somehow it felt safer that way... no idea why really. Might have something to do with all those pirates up there. Of course, Jyrvess didn't know exactly where in the slums Roxi made her home, but with a bit of walking about she'd eventually run into a chipper looking Roxi; just finishing up breakfast at a food stand that served the greasiest food this side of the galaxy.

"Oh, hey! Librarian!" She waved at Jyrvess. "Been a while!"

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess made her way over to the pirate, "Odd to see you without your compatriot." She returned the wave, "I was able to dig up some information for you." She eyed the food stand, "Nothing to sensitive but..." The librarian gestures toward the small crowd near the stand. "A bit noisy here."

[Roxi]

"Huh? Oh, Varina?" She shrugged with a smile, "I don't actually really know her. it's just coincidence you only ever see me when she's around. But..."

She patted the librarian on the shoulder in a 'let's walk and talk' gesture. Somehow, Roxi might've seemed a little bit more... dangerous.

"Tell me more."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Your base was incomplete when the Republic overran it, I couldn't find anything hinting at...unsavory experiments or planet killer weapons." Jyrvess shrugged, "However...the Clone Troopers involved were lead by a Jedi and that is where." She trailed off for a second, normally she would have let the rest remain unspoken...but the pirate girl didn't seem savvy on galactic history. "The troopers executed their Jedi commander. Perhaps that is what remains behind your door."

[Roxi]

A Jedi? Like that Jedi in the arena? That was *something*, at least. Not that she was really sure about it either way.

"Huh," she said, "Would they really just leave her stuff there, though? Still... that sounds promising, don't it? If only I knew how to get past that door."

She paused.

"And the gundarks."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"I suppose I can help with the door." Jyrvess shrugged, "I sill don't have slicer gear....and it would be difficult to find out her on the rim."

"It would cost you another favor at some point." She smiled innocently, "I'm afraid the gundarks are your own problem."

[Roxi]

"What sort of favors am I expected to do anyway? And how much would slicer gear cost anyhow?"

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Several hundred credits....its more something I would need to build," Jyrvess smiles, "Well, build in the sense of buy parts and customize them for my needs. Still expensive."

"I'm not sure yet, nothing that would put you under financial stress. Maybe someone will have an overdue checkout and you can go retrieve it."

[Roxi]

"I might be coming into some credits soon," she said, somewhat surprisingly perhaps given her history of shaking down librarians for pocket change. "I mean, if it's *really* neccessary. I got to spend that on protection for myself too."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"To be honest it would the job easier, but I would have to see the lock to know if it is necessary." Jyrvess rubbed the back of her neck, "I think you next concern: after doors and gundarks, is how to get whatever it is out if its bigger then you or I could carry."

[Roxi]

She shrugged. "Well, I figure Varina might want in on this, and if not I might find some others instead. So there should be more than just the two of us carrying stuff out."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Alright...then when do you wish to try this little expedition?" Jyrvess asked with a sigh.

[Roxi]

"Oh, I hadn't actually even really thought about it... been kind of busy."

The question obviously took her off-guard.

"Uh... when'd be good for *you*?"

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Well....I mean...you are the one who wants this expedition." Jyrvess spread her hands, "Perhaps you wish to prepare then get back to me?"

[Roxi]

"Well, I'd need to ask around to see who'se interested first I guess. I know, the doctor fellow was maybe interested as well. But he'd be doing your job. Plus the whole doctoring thing if we need it. But then, he didn't bring me this info, so I feel like you should have dibs. But then what if you get hurt and we need a doctor? These are tough choices," she said it all sounding quite serious.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"I am surprised...the 'Doctor' would find such of interest. But I fear despite his affiliation with the KSF, he will be of even less use then I in a fight." She shakes her head, "Which is pretty terrible if I were to be honest. But he is dedicated to preserving life so..."

"Still it's your decision."

[Roxi]

"I'll put some feelers out," she said with a smirk, as if she was making some inside joke, "I'll let you know. And you should let me know if someone's late on an... overdue checkout?"

She had no idea what an overdue checkout was. Sounded like something criminal, though. Which made it fit right up her alley!

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Alright...and in the mean time I might see if I can dig up anything from less official sources." She cocked her head slightly at the use of the word feelers. Not really picturing the scruffy pirate girl as the octopus at the center of a crime network.

[Roxi]

"And I'll be fighting for money!" she said, giving an excited thumbs up.
