Kamda Security Force

Once a fiercely independent planet Kamda has boasted a planet based security force for it's cities that operate just below the level of most military's in an effort to keep it's people safe. However, they would never have stood up against either the Clone or Droid forces during the Clone wars and many cynics believe that this was the true reason for why Kamda sided with the Republic during the crisis. Much less, it is not a fighting force that could have ever hoped to stand against the Empire alone and as such when the Empire laid claim to Kamda the standing governor made the hard choice to allow the occupation to turn into assimilation to protect it's people from a hopeless conflict.
KSF is lead under a new Commander, Commander Pike is the once right hand man of the previous leader of the KSF Xahr Kuhr who left the position after it was suggested by his new superiors that he went into retirement. Though it was never officially declared as such many understand the reason behind replacing Xahr Kuhr, a Cathar, who has served as commander for years with Pike, a human, once the Empire tightened its grip on Kamda following the first Kamda Rebellion movement which was put down quickly.
Since then Imperial forces have been reduced to a simple garrison and police actions have remained solely in the domain of the KSF for some time. Leaving many of the population satisfied with the level of their protection and that they were being policed by some of their own. This has led to generally peaceful interactions between the people and the meager restrictions placed on them by the Empire thus far.
