[MA8] - Cities Awash in Life

Even though the Wilderness was perfect for feeling the Force, it was important to remain grounded with those one served, or wanted to help. Despite his anger, despite the sadness of losing it all in Order 66, deep down...
Tranq Sayzin was still Phroth Lissken. Jedi Padawan.
He survived the betrayal, and it had to be for a reason. This resistance, this... Rebellion... it could be something he could work towards, work in. To act as the Jedi should have, rather than how they did.
These were the thoughts that traveled with him as he walked through the lower-class portion of Kamda City.

Everyone on the road seemed to fall away from his attention as one man, stood at the center of the two lanes of foot traffic, looked directly at him as he walked toward him. There was an attraction, a need to move forward, but there was a chill in the air. Phroth felt the anger, the sadness, all of it mixed together and surrounding the man in armor in front of him.

He could feel that cold in his stomach, Tranq remained in his place, walking along the path. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the man in armor. It felt just like the War. That same feeling of Darkness and fear that saturated everything. There was an instinct to draw his blaster, but he opted not to.
Instead he just proceeded, without hesitation, though he did try to keep his distance, without looking like he was keeping his distance.
Walking casual.

Stepping in his path, just as Tranq might have passed by, the man looked up to the Karkadon. "Careful big fella, lot of people around, ya get me?" he said, his face hidden behind the cold darkness of his helmet.

"Always careful, buddy." He replied, looking to the man clad in armor, the palpable feeling of dread surrounding him invading his thoughts. "Just tryin' to get on by. Something the matter?" He regarded the helmet, his discipline showing in not showing any feeling in his face, to match the blankness of that visor.

"Yea.." he said, glancing away but what looked like an exhale he righted his gaze on Tranq. "You see, big fella, I have a problem. I was going to walk over here today.. find you after intimidating some local and then, well, you know," he drew a finger across his throat. In the motion he had his lightsaber in his hand to let the message head home just a bit more.
"Yet now.. now I'm conflicted, and I don't quite know if I want to, you know? For the longest time it seemed like the thing to do.. make some higher ups happy and get my first proper kill, right? But now.. now.."

"Really, pal." His eyes quickly glanced to the lightsaber, then back to the...
You must be the Inquisitor...
"And why me. Think it'll be easy, or will it be a challenge." His shoulders rolled back, eyes narrowed. "You're not used to someone not getting out of your way, are you?"

"I mean," he shrugged, "I know who you are, who your master was, and as far as I can tell I don't think you actually have a lightsaber.. do you?" he said, around them innocents walked by unaware.
"Now, if you ask me, odds would be in my favor if we fought but I am having a crisis of thought here. You know? Best thing to do would be to just.. ya know," he drew the finger over the throat again, "but like," he shrugged. "Eh."

"Maybe one day, you'll kriff around and find out." He tilted his head, watching that damnable mask. "I'm not exactly itching to find out right here and now. But fate is a funny thing, isn't it." There was that edge of anger at the acknowledgment of confirmation.
"You don't have to walk this path."

Looking at him, watching for the teeth perhaps, "No, I suppose, but what better path would there be? Why not strike you down here, now, appease those above me and find acceptance in a world that promises no deception. No lies. Just.. a simple truth."

"Fighting against that conflict inside you. You feel it. I feel it. If it weren't there, we wouldn't be having this talk, would we." His mouth narrowed, a thin line that hid his teeth.
"Anger. Fear. Hatred. It's quick. But in the end, it'll destroy you as easily as you think you'd destroy me." He kept his posture straight, arms across his chest.

There was something there, a pause like no other, "I want to give you a gift. I will fight you somewhere you have no need to worry, atop the summit of the Llasa bo ji Sorka. Why would you come? Because I found you here once, I will find you again. I will not make it a place you will like," he said, his tone shifted.

Leah had almost lost sight of the man. She caught a lucky notice of him though coming to a stop, and began running again.
Oh no...
She was almost out of breath as she reached them.
"Hey...why did you..."

"That will work for me. Do you want it to be real dramatic? Sunup or Sunset?" He replied, nodding. "If we can't solve this with words, then I guess we have no other choice." He relaxed his stance, craning his neck.
And then he heard her voice. His eyes flickered to her as she approached.
"Leah..." he spoke under his breath.
Was this why they said to forgo attachments?

"Leah?" he questioned, turning his head to see Leah standing there. Putting the pieces together he brokenout into a bit of laughter.
"Now that's rich," he chuckled, patted his side. "Certainly changes things," he glanced over to Leah. "Hello again, Kuso," he said, removing any doubt.
"Tomorrow, Phroth, you will meet me on that mountain or she will die. Two problems," his charismatic and flowy demeanor dropped off. Leaving only the harshness in his tone, "one stone."

Things had gotten out of hand so quickly. Leah looked at each of them. Then the man spoke....
"Wait what?" Leah said, looking confused "why? You don't need to do this, either of you. There's no reason to fight."

"I already agreed to meet you there. You have no reason to involve her." He stepped between the Inquisitor and Leah.
"Moonlight duel. In the waning hours of the evening. I'll be there."

"She's more involved than you know, big guy, bring her when you come. Let her watch and come to understand what she has to understand," he said. Turning he gave Leah a dip of his head.
"Sorry, no time to talk this time.." he said, walking off down the street the opposite way Tranq had come.

"But.." she started, but the man had already left. She looked to Tranq, worried.
"Please don't go. Don't fight him" she whispered to him "you don't have to do this."

"And what. You heard him. He found me here, he'll find me again. Destiny always arrives." He looked to her, a bit of sadness in his eyes. "And he'd come after you before. I... I can't save myself knowing that he would come after you, first." He looked down to her eyes, watching her face.
"I don't have a choice."
