Wounded Angel [Day 7, Mid-Afternoon]

[Honor]

After being saved from the Imperial prison the Mirialan was housed in a small family doctor, a friend of Nerra's. Resting in his bed water he was hooked up to machines that checked his vitals. Kept him hydrated, and he was fed when he could be.

Resilient, the man lay in bed with open eyes. Looking to the ceiling and for the first time in years.. he thought about the day after today, the hour after the next, what was the world even like anymore?

[Jaxom Ursae]

After finding Jaina, Jaxom checked on the other fugitive he'd become involved with.

"You're looking better." he said after being shown to the former prisoner.

[Honor]

"Yea?" he said, a laugh, a cough, "Ah, hell. I shouldn't do that. Laughing.. still a bit rough. You.. you're Jaxom right? They told me about you.. thanks, I.. I didn't think I'd ever get out of there. Being out is.. well, it's strange. Like a dream I haven't woken up from yet."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"I wish we could have brought you to a better dream." he said. "But, I'm glad we could get you out of that nightmare."

[Julo]

"Yea," he coughed a laugh again. Then turned a bit serious. "You uh.. you know about any other Angels?"

[Jaxom Ursae]

"I'm afraid not." He shook his head. "No one really knew what happened. But, it was clearly bad. We didn't know about you until recently."

[Julo]

"Maybe there's hope then.." he said, wincing from the pain of the movement as he looked down.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"At the moment, you're our hope." he said. "Things are getting bad out there. A lot of people are desperate and afraid. To see an Angel return, that would give them hope that they can survive this. For some of us, it gives us hope that we can redeem ourselves."

[Julo]

"I can do that," he said, a reserve of his sense of justice. Betterment for his common man. "I just.. I'm just hoping Arwen is still out there. Somewhere. The governors son. Well.. I guess Deera's not the governor anymore, but.." he shook his head. "They tell me to wait till I'm better, but, if you need me I'll be there. I owe it to him. I owe it to me."

[Jaxom Ursae]

He nodded. "You should recover first, regain some strength. But, if you wouldn't mind, could you tell me what happened?"

[Julo]

"Yea," he said, propping himself up in his seat. "How far bad should I start, what'd you wanna hear about exactly? How it all went down or.. should I go back a bit further? Cause how it happened.. I'm not sure there's much to tell that I know myself. One day we were preparing for a little show of force, had a few stun-blasters just in case and were gonna rob this Imperial station but.. well, you know. Things turned sideways."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Just that day." he said. "There's been a lot of speculation about it."

[Julo]

"Well, we showed up to where we expected. Small station, few guards, was supposed to be easy to get in and send out a message to the people. A little.. prank, of sorts, I guess," he laughed a little, "tell the people of Kamda who we were. Little mischief. However.. when we got there we were ambushed by what had to be a full platoon," he looked down, remembering the day.

"Alright, in, out, easy right?" Arwen said, looking back to the group. Specifically focusing on Julo, they shared a smile.

"You heard 'im, lets go play some music for our new friends.."

"They're everywhere!" one of the other Angels shouted, "Quick, back through the sewe-" they took a blaster bolt to the back and fell over, crying out. Julo rushed forward to help but he was pulled back by Arwen.

"We've got to go," Arwen said.

"But we have to sa-" Julo protested.

"WE HAVE TO GO!" Arwen shouted again, pulling Julo forward.

Looking back up to Jaxom, Julo seemed.. lost in the past, "So.. we tried to get out through the sewers but eventually they found us and hit us with stuns. Not sure why they switched... maybe they realized we weren't using proper blasters," he said.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"They wanted you alive." he frowned. "It definitely sounds like they knew you were coming and they intended to make an example of you all. The price of rebellion. But, there'd be value in keeping one or two of you alive, for information or for leverage."

[Fuff]

Fuff came along. He sort of felt some itch of responsibility for the man he had helped save, to at least ensure that all the tail discomforts in laminates and general stress of invading an Imperial prison was not in vain.

[Julo]

"Never asked me any questions.. and if you all thought we were dead? What good were we as leverage?" he asked, and then shook his head. "I don't mean to be.. well, whatever, it just.. I don't get it, really. Doesn't really make a whole lot of sense."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"It depends on who knew you were alive, and whether you were the only one." he shrugged. "I'm sorry, there's no need to go into it now. I've just been thinking about it for a long time."

"Good to see you." he nodded to Fuff.

[Fuff]

"Hey Jaxom." He looked at the Mirialan. "Hey Angel. Make sure to recover, eh?"

[Julo]

"Me too..." he admitted, a laugh that turned into a light cough. "You were there too right, Fuff I think?" he said, "Name's Julo.." he looked to Jaxom, "not sure if I mentioned that to you either friend. Sorry for forgetting."

[Fuff]

"Things they must have done with your head excuse a lot. A miracle you're holding up. Kudos, Julo." Fuff shrugged. "Yeah, I was the guy who talked stormtroopers into things while fighting with tail stiffness in that stupid tincan."
