(Pre-Game Evening) Hunter - the Vigilante

[Tranq Sayzin]

The hulking form of the Karkarodon stalked the back streets of the city. Darkness helped obscure vision, bu5 not terribly so. He seemed to radiate danger, an aura of precise intent. Like all places held by the Empire, this city was in need of something.

Hope, certainly, but also of a reckoning. The scars of terror ran deep in the galaxy, even as millions gave away liberty for security.

His cynisicm leaned hard into thinking that those millions deserved neither. They had it, and gave it all away for a tyrant because of the fear of such a traumatic war.

That anger was palpable around him, and if one had a sense for it, they could feel it roll off of him in waves...

[Ryn Keesa]

"Phroth," a soft voice spoke up. The aura around her was gentler, though even it was tinged with fear. The galaxy as it was wasn't a place where the light thrived easily. "I didn't expect to see you here."

[Tranq Sayzin]

The tall Karkarodon stopped. Instinct sent his hand to grab the elegant weapon from his back, but his hand stayed. His head turned, looking over his shoulder.

"That's a name I haven't heard in a long time." His voice had a certain swollen texture to it, a vocal system designed to speak beneath the water that above had a unique accent of too-strong vocal chords, making his voice low, almost infrasonic. The kind of sound that is barely audible but starts the fight or flight instinct in prey animals.

"I... knew you. Didn't I. A youngling?"

She nodded, emerging from the shadows of the alley that concealed her, bright blue eyes focused on him. "A youngling." She looked to the side, a deep frown taking shape on her young face. "I was on Ilum." She didn't have to fill out when she might've been on Ilum. There were certain things remnants like themselves didn't have to explain.

[Tranq Sayzin]

It was horrifying what happened beneath the waves of Dac. The SCUBA troopers turning on him. He at least was a Padawan.

Jedi were only on Ilum for one thing. Not even fully Jedi, not even taken as Padawans.

"I'm glad to see anyone else survived. This place... isn't safe." Fear and anger clouded his voice, adding to yhat subsonic tremor there. "No place is."

[Ryn Keesa]

She looked down and suddenly couldn't stop talking. It was so rare that someone else knew. "It was just me and one other. We were trapped in the cave after the ice wall shut. I heard the screams on the other side... the wall gave us time to hide," she replied with a wan smile. "Ironic that our failure saved us."

She shook her head. "You're right. I've been... on the move ever since."

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Safest way." He noddes after he listened to her. "Though even that isn't all guaranteed. The Empire..." the word spat with hatred, before turning to fully look at the twi'lek, "... doesn't stop at just control. Even on the outer rim, their eyes are everywhere. But even they ignore any real problems."

His arma folded across his broad chest. "They even make the problems for folk living in places like this even worse."

She could sense the hatred from him and freankly, it was frightening. But still... She stepped forward, putting a hand lightly on his arm. She could understand it. "Yes... Yes, they do... Every world I've traveled between has had some mark of them."

[Tranq Sayzin]

His scales would feel vastly different than warm skin. Like fine-grit sandpaper, somehow both coarse and smooth. He relaxed his posture, but remained vigilant.

"Something is here, though. You feel it, too. Something calling, that beings like us... who were like us, need to be here." He looked up at the sky slightly.

"But can't make it out. Darkness is everywhere."

"I wonder if it has something to do with what the Empire found," she wondered, frowning. She didn't move her hand, though. She did finally look up. "Maybe... we should find out together?"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Part of me says sticking together could make us easier to find. I see the postings through the Guild. People... like us... fetch a high price. But it is also safer in numbers." That low tone seemed to resonate with the danger of these dark times.

"But through the will of the Force, we may have arrived yo bring Light here."
