Starting With a Bang [Day 5, Mid-Evening]

Gathered together in an old theater that is the pillar of a small community those who associate themselves with the woman, Deera, bring themselves together to talk about the start to a plan that will change the course of Kamda's history. Xahr is on duty with a number of other operatives, such as the Chiss from the Tenasas hideout maintaining the security of the venue.

For the start, Deera has been speaking individually with some of those who approach her to speak some of the concerns they have. However, there is a promise that the woman will be seeking something, creating a plan, and speaking to the people.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Having committed herself to the more militant side of the growing dissident movement. Jyrvess slipped into the crowd there, curious to see what was taking shape...and a bit ashamed at her earlier failure.

Spying the curious site of the bounty hunter she had run into on the first day, Jyrvess hesitantly approaches.

"I remember you wished for justice, Bounty Hunter." Her voice was soft and not meant to carry far, she was sure to make her presence known. It wouldn't do to provoke the imposing and brooding alien. "I didn't realize this was the sort you meant or I would have been less worried."

[Tranq Sayzin]

"I told you that Justice was different than Law and Order. This new order is everything that's wrong with the Galaxy." He turned slightly to look to the nervous woman from the bar. "Can't really say that at a random bar, though. Never know what ears are listening." He grinned as he looked to her. "So I get your trepidation."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Jyrvess Ertil," She shrugs, "Formerly of the Special Acquisitions Branch of the Republic Library." At this point she was already committed to the cause, "And at the bar...I was still more interested in running and hiding."

[Xahr Kuhr]

Xahr Kuhr approached the two, "A strong warrior and a smart mind," he commented. "Could make decent soldiers out of both of you if I had a mind, but since you're both here.. I guess you both may have made my mind up for me. Everything alright over here?" he crossed his large arms over his chest.

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Just two beings getting to know each other better, without having to talk in doublespeak." The Karkarodon shook his head as he responded to the Cathar.

Looking back to Jryvess, he brought his hand to his chest. "I've been going by Tranq Sayzin for awhile. And that suits me fine for now." Even if they were still on the same side, who he really was could cause more problems than solve.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"More or less," Jyrvess shrugged, "And rather refreshing to be open" -ish "for once."

"You seem to have us at a disadvantage, Mr?..." She tilts her head expectantly.

[Lysa]

assuming she wasn't gutted, blasted, or otherwise maimed or killed earlier in the day Lysa was here kicking her feet sitting on a table waiting for things to happen.

She recognized the big fishy guy and waved at him with a wide smile but she didn't approach anyone just yet seemingly content to sit here kick her feet and hum a little tune.

[Raven Cadera]

Likewise, a Mandalorian that was hoping to still be alive and in one piece more or less was also there, quietly joining the gathering.

[Manny Donos]

Manny knew that sometimes the only way to solve a problem was to throw something incendiary at it. Or explosive. Or both; maybe it would explode, and then catch on fire.

He was at the meeting, quietly shuffling his deck of cards.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Looking out over the crowd she noticed two familiar faces. Well one familiar face and one familiar helmet. She nods to the two if they notice her before turning back to cat and shark.

[Xahr Kuhr]

"More or less," Jyrvess shrugged, "And rather refreshing to be open" -ish "for once."

"You seem to have us at a disadvantage, Mr?..." She tilts her head expectantly.

"Kuhr, Xahr Kuhr. If you're not familiar I used to lead the KSF around these parts back when Deera," he said, indicating her over his shoulder, "ran the ship. Things were run tight back then, the planet was strong if.. suffering, as a lot of planets on the rim are these days. I kept a strong leash on the KSF and I can only hope that my protege is doing the best he can. Most of the officers I see still have a good heart, and in this day.. that's surprisingly rare, so I'm proud of him."

[Deera]

Deera, meanwhile, finishing up speaking with a few people near the stage got up and started speaking with a few organizers on the stage. As they ran off it seemed she was beginning to prepare something of a speech.

[Tranq Sayzin]

The Karkarodon recognized Raven, as well as Lysa, though the latter he hadn't formally met. He could at least trust that she would be one to take the fight on, even if their methods were very different. Tranq was very much about inflicting precise damage. He could respect her results, even if he disagreed with the methods.

He was the strong, silent type, listening closely as Xahr introduced himself, and gave his CV.

[Raven Cadera]

Raven gave a brief wave to the familiar faces as she settled down with a soft groan. Today had been a rough day.

Oh no... please, holy Mand'alore, not a speech...

[Euvid]

Euvid walked into the theatre and looked around. Scanning the room she figured she was in the right place.

[Deera]

"Hello.." Deera said, stepping toward the front of the stage. All the conversation in the room dropped off at that moment. "You've all come here for different personal reasons, different hopes and dreams that you hope to one day meet. Yet, all of those differences is what is so common between us. To hope, and to dream, once.. once these were the kind of things that we would take for granted. Always, we would think, we could work toward our dream, our goal, another day. However.. when the Empire came to our home, whichever place we called home, we all collectively soon realized just how much we took the ability to dream and hope for granted."

Deera knelt down, then slid her legs over the side so that she was sitting at the front of the stage. "Once, I was the leader of our people. Here on Kamda we welcomed all comers," she said, smiling to one particular person in the seats. "I fought every day since the Empire arrived for our people. I sacrificed, I suffered, but my biggest regret is that I was forced out and could not do it any longer."

"Now.. I wish to fight again. I wish to grant myself, those around me, and most importantly.. the children of Kamda, I wish to grant them the ability to hope and maybe.. just maybe.. one day dream of a better life. Freedom from a life where they fear Imperial retribution. Freedom from the persecution that non-humans like myself face every day. Freedom to breathe easy. Freedom to dream."

"I cannot ask you to join with us, to support our goals and to fight for a free Kamda, one step toward a free galaxy. However, what I can ask, is for those who feel the fire still burning in their heart. All of those who feel that they have suffered enough at the hands of the Empire and wish to tell them, No More. I invite you to join with me, with us, that we might free ourselves to dream again."

"Thank you," she said, to a slow and slowly growing applause.

[Manny Donos]

If there was anything Manny was good at, it was cheering.

"Wooooooooo!" He yelled through cupped hands. "Yeah! Go Kamda!" He just remembered not to yell anything about Manka Cats or Antilles, and settled for clapping enthusiastically. Next time I'm bringing a foam finger...
