Busted [Day 2, MM, Closed]

After a length process Munchfronta was arrested and brought into a waiting speeder. After some drawing of straws one of the officers got into the vehicle and began to drive. Any attempts at conversation were moot and offered little in the way for him to defend himself or what he'd supposedly done.

However.. the speeder stopped far earlier than the expected destination. Just inside an alleyway somewhere in the lower-district. Stepping out of the speeder the officer roughly collected Munchfronta and started walking him deeper into the alley...

[Munchfronta]

After a length process Munchfronta was arrested and brought into a waiting speeder. After some drawing of straws one of the officers got into the vehicle and began to drive. Any attempts at conversation were moot and offered little in the way for him to defend himself or what he'd supposedly done.

However.. the speeder stopped far earlier than the expected destination. Just inside an alleyway somewhere in the lower-district. Stepping out of the speeder the officer roughly collected Munchfronta and started walking him deeper into the alley...

".....Officer, this is rather ominous isn't it?"
Munch nervously looks around

"Quiet now," he said, giving Munch a little shake to inspire the idea further. As they went further into the alley they made a sharp turn and then moved in through the back of a warehouse. In a small locker-room he brought him before a large man, of non-human make.

[Xahr Kuhr]

"I'm sorry," Xahr said, kneeling down in front of Munch, "for the means in how you've arrived here. Know you're in safe hands now," he reassured Munch as the officer undid the manacles.

His ears twitch in sheer shock
"Uh...um, well thanks. Wasn't how I was planning on spending my morning but this seems nicer than a cell? You seem familiar, like I've seen the face around."

"He was our leader once, woulda given my life for him if I had to," the officer said. Looking down he pulled the badge from his uniform, "Guess.. guess I did, in a way," he closed his fist around it.

[Xahr Kuhr]

"Thank you," Xahr said, putting his hand on the officers shoulder. "I've asked for more from you than I would have ever wanted to, than I ever had a right to do. Yet you came through, and by doing so.. saved a life," he looked back to Munch.

"For you Sir, it was nothing," he said, opened his hand and let the badge fall to the floor. "I'll be heading out now before they start getting suspicious. Meet you back at base, Commander."

[Xahr Kuhr]

Looking to watch the officer go, he saw him off and then finally focused back on Munch. Kneeling down again he met him one on one, "We picked up word what was happening and I moved to contact my old friends still in the service to see what we could do. That officer was the first to volunteer to get you out of there. I'm.. sorry to see what it cost, but I'm glad to save you from some Imperial cell where you'd be left and forgotten my little friend."

Looking to watch the officer go, he saw him off and then finally focused back on Munch. Kneeling down again he met him one on one, "We picked up word what was happening and I moved to contact my old friends still in the service to see what we could do. That officer was the first to volunteer to get you out of there. I'm.. sorry to see what it cost, but I'm glad to save you from some Imperial cell where you'd be left and forgotten my little friend."

"That ISB sleeb, I didn't do anything major and he was just going to lock me up and throw away the key? Typical white helmets"

"No offence, that officer seemed like a fair enough guy, not often you stick your neck out for someone you don't know. So, I guess, thanks for the assist? What do I owe yah? You guys need some power converters?"

[Xahr Kuhr]

Xahr chuckled a deep, chuckle, "Afraid we need a lot more than a few power converters. But.. someone of your expertise? You could help us start to make some real change around here. Real change. Kinda change that would make the lives of everyone a little easier, a little more free."

Munch chews his lip, with chadra-fan teeth it's quite the sight
"What sort of expertise do you need? I gotta be straight up with you mister, I'm more into the liberation of valuables rather than people but your guys did me a solid and I'm no Imp so I'm willing to help out here and there."

Our people could make some use of that and.. it'd give you a bit more satisfaction than liberating a view valuables off some sucker in the back street. You'd be doing real good, you know? Kind that saves lives. Way I see it.. you know more than anyone now, what we all stand to lose under a system like this."

"Yeah, I guess I can't really run The Resistance anymore. I mean, Manny can and I guess I can wear a mask but that's no way to live. I still get to do stuff on the side right? Man's gotta eat."

"I'm afraid.." he rose, walking toward the door to see if the outside alley is clear. When he was sure it was he waved Munchfronta over to his side. "I don't believe your friend will be able to return."

"You see," he said, "they targeted you. Your business. Now, with your arrest they have all the evidence they need to lock it down. Your escape certainly will lend you no favors.. but, you have your life and hope for a better tomorrow. I have no intention of making you stay with us. You can join us and we would support you, but you can choose to go your own way. I can teach you the tricks, set you up on your way to find another life but.. for now, the one you knew before is over, I'm afraid."

"I'm afraid.." he rose, walking toward the door to see if the outside alley is clear. When he was sure it was he waved Munchfronta over to his side. "I don't believe your friend will be able to return."

"You see," he said, "they targeted you. Your business. Now, with your arrest they have all the evidence they need to lock it down. "Our man there will be able to set you up, sneak in the back way through the alley. Follow the little images of a space-rat.," Xahr glanced back, "no-offence. They're the stickers we had on hand."

"I don't know whether to be honoured of offended, but I'll follow the rat. Just need to make sure I got all my gear. And I gotta tell Manny. I mean, about the arrest and stuff, is this is hush hush I'll just let him know I'm laying low for a bit."

"Tell him what you think is best," he said, but turned around to face Munch as he continued. "Just be careful.. more you know about this, the more in danger you are. You've got to be certain he's someone who can handle it. And if he is.. well, we could use a few more sons and daughters fighting for Kamda when the time comes. It'll be good he's aware of what's happening here."

"Tell him what you think is best," he said, but turned around to face Munch as he continued. "Just be careful.. more you know about this, the more in danger you are. You've got to be certain he's someone who can handle it. And if he is.. well, we could use a few more sons and daughters fighting for Kamda when the time comes. It'll be good he's aware of what's happening here."

Munch winks before scampering off. It had been a busy day and it looks like it was going to get busier still.
