Delivery of Imperial Cargo [Day 1,MA]

Flying close to port, Pieron activates his com channels as he starts getting ready to send over his landing codes given to him by some snooty officer before he set off on his journey. "This is, um- Corso Riggs on Imperial landing craft 75221, requesting permission to offload cargo." Pieron was never good at formalities, always getting in and out fast was his forte but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. 'I'll never get used to just being let in like this' He thought to himself as he await further instructions from the Imps.

"Permission granted," the crisp Imperial tone came over the comm-link. "Corso Riggs, please make way to Bay B-124 for retrieval. Prepare ship manifest and cargo for inspection."

Peiron takes in a deep breath, hoping he was able to mess with the manifest well enough that they couldn't tell he had dumped some things so he can pawn them off later. "Roger that, landing at bay B-124.", Shutting off his comms as he pulls the cargo ship to port. Taking a moment to gather himself as he prepares everything, getting cargo ready to be hauled off as the shuttle doors open. Walking out he grabs the tampered cargo data-pad ready to meet who ever it was he was delivering to.

As the shuttles door opens the warm air of Kamda rushes in. KSF patrols mind the outer section and some offices approach with an Imperial officer holding a data-pad of some size in her right hand. As they approach she comes up to the end of the gangway. "Corso Riggs, her to deliver" she rattles off the information on her data-pad.

"Do you have your ships manifest prepared, Mr. Riggs?" she asks.

A sudden tightness in his chest as he realizes maybe she too has a copy of the manifest, almost as if catching himself he punches inputs to his screen as he sends over the data to the officers. "Hell of a trip here, there were slight problems but nothing I couldn't handle of course." He stammers out as the data transfers over, sweat threatening to roll down as he nervously looks around scanning for an escape route. Every smuggler always has to have an escape route ready.

There were officers all around, but most didn't appear horribly on alert. There was of course the main exit from the hanger, another into the main warehouse, and a few noticeable side passages for staff. Droids and workers moved cargo and equipment without too much hustle.

Silently she reviewed the manifest, checking it over. Looking up to him, his ship, and then returning her gaze back to the data-pad, "Just what type of problems have you experienced on the way over here?" she asked, tapping her own unit twice with her thumb.

"Oh you know, a pirate or two here and there. Some ship maintenance on the side, thought I saw a flying wookiee one time. B-but still, I was able to get almost everything here." Hoping to appear the fool, Pieron took notice of the main exit hoping if he just managed to break out the crowds could conceal him enough to get out of this sticky situation, but first getting past the officer in front of him. Maybe he didn't need to run if he could spin a tale for her he hoped he could convince her. "Jokes aside though, some local pirates were hoping to try their luck out there, just one of the many dangers of our profession as im sure you know. It was unfortunate there was a few too many to handle with the ship I was provided but I was able to get away with ... minimal losses."

"Minimal losses?" she inquired, walking out to the side of the ship to see if she'd missed any damage upon her initial walk over. Meanwhile, the two officers behind her had begun to close in toward Pieron and the officer.

"Yes, there were... persistent as you can imagine. Luckily I was able to just jettison a bit of cargo to save the whole, I can only assume they figured that was the most of it and was able to get away without more issues." Pieron responded, all the mean while his eyes darting around seeing more figures approaching them. Putting his hands on his belt he tried to casually move around with the officer he was talking to, aiming himself directly at the main exit he had chosen ready to bolt if things went south.

"You jettisoned Imperial Cargo?" she inquired, her voice turning adamant. Scanning the docs once again she found no mention of this in the report. "Officers! Bring me that man!" she shouted.

Pieron had a straight shot for the main hanger, but it was going to be a long one. Hopefully, he would have a shot to make it.

Pieron turns quickly on his heels and runs, prepping his way so he naturally could go through the main entrance as he bolts down full speed. Life as a smuggler sometimes had you running and Pieron was hoping this time his legs didnt give out today.

Running toward the exit he found nothing quite caught up to him, or blocked his way, as the man he pretended to be was in rather good standing. However, a loading-bot did get in his way and he took a tumble over the crate it was moving. It didn't stop his momentum though! Straight running off into the main hall, he didn't find much of a crowd to hide in but an open maintenance door would be his key outta there.

Counting his luck as he could have stumbled and fell, Pieron runs straight for the open maintenance door seeing his last shot to freedom as he sees there isn't a crowd for him to slip into. He takes a last look behind him to check to see what kind of response his running has brought.

Behind him a few officers just rounded the corner, and more were sure to follow.

With a few hot on his heels, Pieron kept running, running as fast as he could into the hatch for freedom. He could feel his lungs breath fire as he kept going but he was sure this was his only way as he ran away.

They'd dog him the whole way, but through the maintenance tunnels he would find another passage, and another, and finally it would spill outside into the city. Pieron wouldn't be able to stop running for miles almost but finally, eventually, he'd get the chance to take a breather, and he should be in the clear... free for now.

Pieron runs and runs and runs, finally catching himself in a hidden alleyway he crumples to the ground exhausted. His muscles burned and he felt his lungs pressing against his ribs as he was catching his breath. Finally he made it out, but it wasn't time to rest, he was stuck in this planet for the time being, he has no other way to get out and knowing the empire they wont make it easy. Stumbling back to his feet he sets out first to find some place to stay then he can think proper.
