New Arrival [Pre-game, Morning]
The tall girl was moving through the crowded spaceport, having successfully cleared the hurdle of boarding a public transport to Kamda and the arrival process. She felt naked without her armor on, and gave a reassuring squeeze to the strap of her backpack where it had been stuffed in. Somewhat clunkily.
Her free hand held a cheap but sizeable burger that she was munching down fast as she stood in the arrival hall, looking at news images and other information. How could she hope to find this person calling himself Mandalore here?

Re: New Arrival [Pre-game, Morning]
Some short distance away a smaller woman was taking note of the upcoming transit schedule. Jyvress nodded in satisfaction and turned to make her departure from the spaceport. The clank, clank, clank of stored armor caught her attention and she instinctively looked over. Right into the eyes of the taller arrival.
Considering the distance it might be taken as an invitation to conversation on Jyvress's part. She dipped her slightly in acknowledgment, "Ah...excuse Ma'am, I didn't mean to blunder into your path here."

Re: New Arrival [Pre-game, Morning]
She paused in her chewing of the greasy burger as she looked down at the smaller woman. For a brief moment, it seemed like a quick threat assessment was given.
"No worries, uh, miss," she murmured, a bit unused to being adressed as Ma'am. Do I look that old? "... If you're lost, I'm not much help, I'm afraid."

"Ah no, no." She waves it off, now committed, "Not lost...just a bit inattentive I suppose."
"Actually I have been around the city for a few weeks, I assume you just arrived." Jyvress leans over to glance down the corridor. "Seeing as you just came from the direction of well new arrivals."
As for threat assessments....well Jyvress didn't look all that threatening with her datapad holster and apparently empty pockets(because she isn't bring a weapon of any sort anywhere near this place).

"Being inattentive sounds dangerous." Raven remarked though with a bemused tone, as if it was a nostalgic memory.
"But yeah, newly arrived. Still getting my bearings, never been here before." She cast a subtle glance around them. Damn this place was really swarming with Imps. "... Wanna walk as we talk?"

Jyress seemed to not notice the imps, or at least didn't seem to acknowledge their presence.
"Yeah, sounds like a good idea to me." She nods, a bit enthusiastically. "And I suppose it could be dangerous. Being inattentive I mean."
She hesitates in consideration, "I am Jyvress by the way."

Nodding, Raven shoved the remainder of the burger into her mouth and gave her backpack another squeeze. She looked forward to get out of here and be able to put on some armor again and carry her weapons properly.
"Raven," she offered in return, her mouth still a little full. "What's the city here like?"

Jyvress raised a brow as a little bit of food few past. "Well....its a city on the Outer Rim. Cozy enough, looks like they had hard times from..." She finally glances at one of the present Imperials, "well, hard times as they say. But things to have calmed down, no curfews that I am aware of and most of the police are local. Pretty quiet place all told."
She glances past the larger woman, "Bars for the thirsty, a flop house or two if you are down on your luck."

Flop house. Yeah... that might be something to look for.
"Sounds like many worlds in that regard," she remarked to the summary, having swallowed her food now. Raven was the type to eat food quickly when it was available. "Seems like you've seen your share of these Outer Rim worlds?"

"Well I am fairly well-traveled," She smiles at that, amused at some private joke, "But even beyond that I have studied a bit of the Outer Rims' history and the like." Jyvress pats her datapad. "Something, something, always be prepared."
"I take you are also something of a traveler? Or at least this isn't your first or second time out on the rim."

Re: New Arrival [Pre-game, Morning]
Raven raised a gloved hand to wipe away some errant food-grease from her lips, which she followed up with a likewise amused smile, as if sharing in the private joke. "Yeah, wanderer sounds 'bout right. Been hoppin' planets for a few years now... at some point, a lot of them just start to look the same."
Mindful of the presence of someone with much shorter legs, she didn't keep her usual brisk pace. "You studying the Outer Rims or somethin', then? You don't seem the drifter-type."

"Something like that, you know read about something then actually go see it." The pace didn't seem to bother the smaller woman. "Though I suppose...well honestly studying the Outer Rims versus seeing them is a bit like. Studying an ocean versus being wet. Or really looking at said ocean and assuming to know about every drop."
"As for a drifter...well I suppose I am, even if I don't look particularly like one."

The words felt a bit too deep and philosophical to her, but she nodded still.
"Really?" Raven sounded surprised. "You seem... uh, well, I guess 'soft' might not be the right word, but maybe you catch my drift?"

"Oh well you are quite right there, violence is something I tend to avoid." She replies in a disconcertingly matter of fact tone. "I mean...I could take a punch. Maybe. Might even still be standing afterward."
"I suppose that makes you well 'hard' then?"

"I suppose that's an accurate term, in comparison," she mused, feeling a bit more at ease now that they were making good progress out of the spaceport.
"Not a smart gal like you, so I make do being 'hard' for a living."

Jyrvess raised a brow at that, "Easier to find work out here if you are hard I think. Though less of the punching and more of the general labor."
She paused as some Imperial troops passed in front of them. "Well. I suppose you could always ask the current group monopolizing violence if you really want to bust a skull." Her tone is flat and barely carries, perhaps not even meant to reach the other woman's ears. One might even note her jaw clench briefly. Jyrvess sighs after the Imperials disappear and her tone returns to normal. "They aren't that heavy outside of the spaceport these days."

"Can do both, but I'm better at the punching," she remarked with a shrug, and tried not to be too bothered by the lightness of her shoulders without armor on.
Likewise, Raven took a quiet pause as they passed by the troops, keeping her gaze straight ahead without looking at them.
"...No, I won't ask them." There was a hardness to her tone. "There's no honor."

Jyrvess frowned deeply, "Well. I doubt our definitions of honor are the same. But on that we agree."
Another sigh then she rubbed her neck, "Always odd to find muscle with honor these days. Between the war and...well the competition not being keen on having competition."

"Hmmm..." she fell silent for a moment, as if mentally chewing over the words exchanged before speaking again. "I suppose honor is dying out in the galaxy. Or I'm a dying breed."
None of it seemed to sit well with her.
"Is there really any competition for... them?"

"Probably," Is all Jyrvess says in response to the later question.
"So might I ask how long you plan on staying? If its not too forward of me to ask."
