[LM2] Combing the Desert

[Tranq Sayzin]

At the agreed upon time, Tranq was already waiting for the rest of the team of Hunters. His scanner goggles brought down over his face, the spear-rifle strapped to his back.

He didn't bother checking the chrono inside his goggles. He had wanted to arrive first so he had gotten to the rendezvous point early.

It shouldn't be difficult to reach the lab from here...

[Raven Cadera]

Raven was dressed in the same armor and cloak as the day before, though with less effort in concealing the weapons she carried with her today. Though the bigger change was that she wore her Mandalorian helmet - but to the other three she was still recognizable the same young woman from the night before.

It was going to be an eventful morning. "You have the directions of where we're going?"

[Solork Tan]

Solork is mostly the same as before, only this time he has a sword strapped to his back and his tool kit buckled to his side.

"I can work on cutting their power if we see an opening"

[Claymore Frost]

Claymore comes with his blaster piston oiled and shined up and ready to go.

"Let's roll..."

Following the coordinates to the destination made it easy enough to find the place. Coming up on it over a hill they could see the white domes covered in sand of Imperial stormtroopers on patrol. A chilling site that few would forget, despite the time away from them they've had. On contract by the Imperial bounty office meant they could just walk right up.

Not that it would be easy on their nerves.

It did set her nerves on edge. At least the sensible side of her was reminding her that it was unlikely that any Imp stationed here would be aware of what's been happening on the Mandalorian worlds. Very unlikely. It was a big galaxy, right?

"You're kind of the team-lead here," she said, her helmeted head looking to Tranq. "We just walk up and be all official-like?"

[Tranq Sayzin]

He pulled the bounty datastick from his belt, idly moving it between his fingers. He nodded. "Yeah, I think so. With this information, we should get in easy..." His voice managed to stay level, thanks to his discipline. However within his heart, he knew this was a risk. Should he be discovered... it would be bad. Very bad.

"Stay close, and let's stay professional. Walk casual." Almost reassuring himself, he began to lead the group.

As they would approach a few of the troopers at the front halted their patrol and turned to face them as they walked up. However, as they were such a remote location they were used to most of their business being official, and the desert usually made for very few intruders. Certainly few that were so brazen..

Well, beside the missing supplies, though quite a few actually believed the ghost stories.

Regardless, as they would approach a trooper designated as the leader among those outside stepped forward. "You the bounty-hunters?" the woman spoke through the storm-trooper vo-coder.

Solork tenses as he sees the swarm of stormtroopers.

He hisses as they approach the checkpoint. "Forgive me Brother, but I was under the impression that we were investigating a distant outpost for the Empire not that they are the distant outpost"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"We are, yes. Heard you needed a team." Tranq's reply was level. Inside, he wanted to rip that bucket off her head and bite another trooper in half.

Don't let your rage consume you, Phroth... He remembered the words of Master Scylla, though their battles in the war. His posture straightened as he looked to the trooper.

"Care to fill in the missing details?"

[Honor]

"Not me," she said, looking over those that had gathered. "Our chief science officer, Dr. Tarking will be the one to fill you in. We change out the guard but he's been here through it all."

Turning she walked toward the door and a few other of her men came with her to fill in behind the group. Leading them into the facility and through clean hallway after clean hallway until they arrived at an office behind a glass wall. Inside a man worked at a desk.

"Hold here," the sergeant said, entering the room alone. Despite appearances they couldn't make out anything that was said inside.

Good thing about helmets, Raven could let her gaze wander a lot as they were lead into the facility. It didn't seem like a terribly exciting place, but maybe she would see something of interest that could come in handy some time.

Or at the very least, memorize the exit and numbers.

"This morning keeps getting... interesting," she commented to the other three as they were left waiting.

Solork has to try very hard not to reach for the sword on his back.

"Not the kind of interesting I like."

[Claymore Frost]

Clay fold his hands up and acts like he's getting bored. He is actually thinking about exit strategies and what work Imp's are have in store for us.

[Randall Tarkin]

After some talking the man walked toward the glass wall, awkwardly waving at the assorted mercenaries. Behind him the sergeant followed dutifully.

Exiting his room Dr. Tarkin said, "Good afternoon.. or is it morning still? Anyway, thank you for coming. The sergeant here tells me that you have come about the mystery?"

[Solork Tan]

Sol nods and looks back to Tranq, waiting for the man, we, shark, to take the lead

[Tranq Sayzin]

"We have." The Karkarodon nodded, indicating to the assembled crew. "What exactly seems to be the problem, Dr. Tarkin?" His voice was low, pointed as he spoke.

He wasn't expecting the awkward wave. It made him want to call the doctor Randy. He kept the thought to himself.

[Randall Tarkin]

"Allow me," he said, walking through the center of the group so that they might follow him down another hallway. The Sergeant taking up position behind the group with her men.

"You see, this installation is for-" Dr. Tarkin began, but, "Doctor," the Sergeant cut him off, "Remember protocol."

"Of course.. of course, as we were saying.." he thought for a moment, "right. To the matter, then. You have been hired to discover what has been happening with our supply. While this would normally be a job for the Sergeant and her team it has been a troubling mystery for quite some time and without much answer."

Deep into the base now, they arrived at a sturdy door in which the doctor had to swipe an indenti-badge to enter. Leading the group inside he showed them what they were working with, "As you see, there is only one way out and one way in. That.. and it is a rather reinforced door, I'm afraid. It beckons quite the mystery, does it not?"

[Raven Cadera]

"Quite the mystery," she agreed, figuring she could humor the crazy scientist or whatever he was for a moment. "Do these supplies just... vanish into thin air?"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"What about surveillance? Surely your security cameras have seen something?" Arms folded across his chest, he looked at the door, examining the room. "Also, can you see the logs of who has entered this room or not? If you had to use an identibadge, then it might at least show if there were some unauthorized logs?" He asked, looking to Dr. Tarkin.
