Event Type: Structured Combat
Timeslot: Mid-Evening
Participants: 4*

[Music Theme]
Some few of the bravest willing to sign themselves up for the resistance would step forward. Together, they would join with a Chiss communications specialist and a Explosives specialist from Onderon. These two have a mission to disable the main communications tower for Kamda. Logistics of the mission explained, the team here is sent in to disable this tower so that the Empire can not make use of it in the days to come. While the people of Kamda will be able to maintain contact with the rest of the galaxy, if in a limited manner, through the communications tower present within the space-port inside Kamda city.
The Kamdan people will suffer some convenience for the fight, but the Empire will hurt today. This is the first major actions perpetrated by a faction of Rebels on Kamda in years. Now is the time to strike, to lay the ground-work for the plan ahead.
Please join this thread and post Cool for Initiative (to get it out of the way) and your combat stats. There will be some RP before the strike begins to familiarize with the crew going in.

She had said she'd join the Resistance's fight, so she wasn't too surprised when they called on her.
Takes a Mandalorian to get anything done properly.

Blood was in the water. The strike against the tower was just what the doctor called for. He checked his spear blaster, giving a nod to the Mandalorian. Grateful to spill more Imperial blood with her, and bring the fight to the bane of the galaxy.

Lysa was here looking a little worse for wear but she was up and she was looking to kill some Imps and hopefully blow something up.
Maybe it was all the drugs coursing through her system by she was not feeling very cool, a little on the jittery side even for her.

All of them rode in a hooded speeder, traveling along the highway toward the tower. In this brief moment of safety while they waited to reach the destination there was a palpable sense of the world coming to a stand still around them as the focus drifted forward.
"So uh," the Chiss spoke awkwardly, wearing a slightly-goofy smile, "any of you.. fire a blaster recently?"

Raven's baffled look could be felt through the helmet. "What sort of dumb question is that?"

Tranq looked to the Chiss, then to Lysa, then to Raven, then back to the Chiss. Each of them looked heavily armed and armored. The Karkarodon chuckled, before clapping them on the shoulder. "Nervous much?"

Eyes going a bit wide, the piercing red looking right back at Raven for a moment before he quickly looked down and away. When Tranq clapped him on the shoulder he jumped a little, shouted, and laughed awkwardly, "Uh.. y-yea, I uh, I normally just sit in a room and listen to the radio but this has got me a little.. well, I'm not usually the go out and do things type."
Across from the Chiss the Onderonian laughed, "Best man we've ever had behind the radio," he promised glancing at the others present. Sizing them up.

Lysa laughed out loud for a bit "Well technically no! but I've fired this a bunch!" She took out the small handheld grenade launcher "Yeah this baby has killed like 15 or 20 guys in the last month or so at least!" she set the launcher in her lap and opened her backpack, a black leather affair with stickers and drawings on it in bright neon colors, and stared pulling various round objects out "I prefer the use of explosives to blasters see you've got normal ol fraggys, stunnies, big boomies, lazers, flamos..." she started listing various explosives while holding them all in one hand when something happened, perhaps the speeder swerved, perhaps she accidentally bumped something but the cluster of grenades in her hand haphazardly fell back into her back and a faint beeping noise could be heard from inside.
"Uhhhh everyone be real quiet for a second." she started furiously ruffling through the bag before pulling out one grenade that had a red light blinking on it "got it!" she said before hitting a button and the beeping stopped "Man weird to think we were all seconds from fiery and horrific death." She said cheerily setting the bag back down.

There was a tension in her body even as she remained completely still, and it didn't seem to live until the danger was over.
"... To answer your question," there was an edge to her tone, as it seemed she had taken offense by it, "yes, I've fired a blaster recently. And have done so for quite a long time. Likewise, my sword has been bloodied recently too, and my armor, new as it is, has already seen battle."
Mandalorians were quite prickly when it came to some types of insults.

Tranq went wide eyed at the beeping, concerned at the callousness with which they were handled. And very greatly grateful that they avoided near accidental death. "I also have seen a few scraps. When I have to, these have been used to end an opponent." He flashed a menacing grin, showcasing those too sharp teeth. As he spoke, the words were always painted with that subsonic terrifying timbre.
"We'll all likely be firing blasters more in the future, as well."

Laughing, incredibly nervously, the Chiss just looked between everyone in the speeder, "W-well.. guess I'm glad I'm on your guys' side.. ha.. huh.." he curled up into his seat a bit.
Meanwhile, the Onderonian was losing it, laughing and well, judging a little but otherwise laughing with a deep hearty laugh.

Any cool that Manny had was drained by their near fiery death. He started to scoot a little farther from Lysa, realized how pointless that would be, and sighed.
After a moment, he leaned over. "Just how many explodey things have you got in there, anyway?"

Meanwhile...
Sat outside the communications tower two stormtroopers patrolled. "So, you hear we're supposed to be getting some E-22's in? Lot of the boys are already drawing straws," the one on the right said, as they walked along the road leading to the tower. Far down they were some distance from it as they patrolled.
"No way, really? Damn, I'd love to get my name in on that, get some real firepower," he said, peering off into the distance and squinting.
"Same, doubt it'll filter out to us over here though. Nothing happens around this tower. What're you looking at anyway?"
"Is that a speeder-truck or is my visor just dirty?"
"I can't tell, where are you looking?"
"It's getting bigger.. closer?"
"I still don't see it," he put his hand over his visor to see if blocking out the sun helped.
"Just look down the road, do I have to do everything for you?" he turned, looking to his comrade.
"No, but it'd be a real help if you weren't such an ass," the other turned in as well.
"Look, if we're both supposed to be on watch shouldn't we.. both be on watch? If you can't see it, I'm really concerned about your effectiveness in this position."
"Yea well- LOOK OUT," he dove into his friend, taking them both to the ground as the speeder truck goes whizzing by.

Scattered troopers took up positions along the base of the tower. Resting their blaster rifles on the pieces of cover as they waited for the speeder to arrive, seeing it from a distance. "Once it's in range, fire on that speeder!"
Meanwhile..
"Get ready for a bumpy ride!" the resistance agent in the driver seat shouted as they got in close, blaster bolts could be seen pinging off the front of the craft. With a hard turn he whipped the vehicle around and the door came flying open!

"OYA!"
Raven was the first out of the speeder, a vanguard leading into battle. She raised up her carbine, gleeful at how well the Mandalorian crafted weapon moved and how stable it felt in her arms as she fired off some deadly and accurate bolts.

Tranq immediately had the spear blaster in hand, and searched out the targets. Focusing on the 3rd group of Stormtroopers, he reached through the Force, sensing his connection of life, and their connection of life, through the Force. The strand that connected all things, and knowing just where to cut theirs,
Marking Them For Death.
Taking the time to Aim, he breathed out, and fired, letting loose precise death. The group dropped with clean headshots.
"Targets eliminated, move on to the next." He spoke calmly into the com, without any passion, remorse, or even a hint of anger. Just cold precision.
