Dear Deera (D7 MM)

Jyrvess found herself at the hideout of the burgeoning resistance. The former governor and current revolutionary had asked to speak with her during the first rally. While she was eager to help, what had brought the relative stranger to the attention of a popular local leader alluded the former intelligence agent.
She couldn't help but wonder if perhaps her background had some how reached the ear of the rebels or if it had just been her covert assistance.

At the door she was greeted by a Chiss with a warm smile and a piercing gaze, the full red eyes had no other form. "Oh, hey! You're Jievriss right? Deera has been here waiting for you, been sharing a cup of Kaff with me. Want some?"

"No, no I am fine," She waved off the offer, "And its Jyrvess."
Her eyes drifted past the Chiss briefly, then back. "My apologies if I am late...."

Bringing his hand up to his neck real quick, "Ah, sorry Ma'am, Jyvress. So.. yea, you're fine," he directed her inward. "Deera's right in the sitting room around the corner. I really should be getting back to work."

"Thank you," Jyress smiled, she considered asking his name....but wasn't sure on the whole security situation of the rebel cell.
She took a quick look at the room as she passed through it, arriving at the sitting room and lightly tapping on either the door or wall if there was no door. "Mrs Deera, you wished to speak to me. It's Jyrvess Ertil."

"Yes dear, please, come.." she said, sitting in one of the comfy chairs that was sat around a small table. A pitcher rested on a serving table on the coffee table between them. Directing Jyvress to sit opposite her she looked to the Chiss, "Thank you, Sev, for greeting my guest so warmly as always. Your bright smile brings warmth to ever darker days."
"Aww shucks Ma'am, I just do what I can," he turned a darker shade of blue, something of a purple and then fully left to his station.
"Now, Jyvress Ertil, that is your name, yes?" she asked.

"That is correct." She nods, "I...probably should be using a fake name but..." She rubs the back of her neck, "I had honestly just figured if I never stopped running it wouldn't really matter."

"Dangerous," she said, "but you're with us now. You needn't worry. Your work tipped us off to the level of skill you have, and that got me curious so I tasked some of my finest with figuring it out. Now that we know.. there is something I would ask of you Jyvress but it is dangerous. In less trying times I would like to ask this of no one, but I believe in the good we can do. I believe in the good you can do, the lives you can save."

"First...if I may ask, since you did your homework." Jyrvess kept her expression neutral, "You are aware then my service went beyond my time in the Republic? That I remained as my superiors changed. Are you willing to trust a former Imperial spy?"

"I would not trust a former Imperial spy, no," she said, with an easy smile. "However, you are not just some former Imperial spy. You have already taken some risk for the people of Kamda and we have benefited from it. You live with us, approach to fight with us. Even if you are not one to hold a blaster in your hand you have already risked much for us, Jyvress. You are a friend of Kamda, and in that I can trust."

Jyrvess sighs and let's her expression soften, "Alright then. Since you also know I am not one to use a blaster...what do you have in mind?"

"We have a need to gain access to the communications terminal inside the space-port, but not yet.." she said, taking a sip of her Kaff. "Slicing is a complicated art, as I understand. One that allows an individual access to secure systems. Is it perhaps possible that you might be able to manage offering us a way in.. like, a key? One that we can use when the time is right to take over the system at an opportune time?"

"I can try...." Jyrvess nods slowly, "But it may take time...do you have any information on the spaceport? Or somewhere I can find that information?"
She leans back, "Or better yet a way I can make it inside the spaceport to one of the secure terminals tied into the main network."

"How to get to one.." she thought, "I would imagine the first step is knowing where one is, correct?" she asked. However, believing in her own ability to understand she continued, "Then the terminal itself is in the middle of the port. Well, off-center some, but it is through the controlled sector. Likely, we would need to gain you some kind of disguise to get you through. That is something we can work up.. but you would need to be able to play the part, are you able to do this?"

Jyrvess took a deep breath, they wanted her to walk into the middle of an Imperial Compound. She couldn't help but feel fear rising in her chest, skulking around hacking terminals or even fighting next to someone was one thing but....
"Al...right." Her voice cracks a little, "Find me a disguise and I will do as you ask."

Deera smiles, warmly, and places her hand on Jyvress' knee, "What worries you dear? It is a daunting task I would ask of you, but I do not want to send you in there unprepared."

"I've been more of a person skulking in the shadows this was usually handled by others, I just read reports and tried to make sense of what was brought me." Jyrvess smiled weakly, "I guess the runner...the coward in me...is still trying to set me to flight again."
She takes a breath, "And it wasn't the request I expected. But as I said, I am ready."

"Well," she smiled, "you don't need to run anymore Jyvress. You're with us now, and we stick together on Kamda. Perhaps.. if there is someone you feel that might be able to help you? Someone who might aid your disguise? Bringing them with you would be possible, we could afford another disguise. Here on Kamda, no one fights alone. Not truly."

"I will have to think on it..." She sighed, "Finding help I mean. Most of the people I know are either skilled talkers or skilled fighters. With not much room in between."
"How long do we have to prepare?"

"A skilled talker could be useful in maintaining the disguise," she suggest, "preferably.. as soon as you can, dear. We strike in a few weeks but the opportunities will be.. scarce, for certain," she said.
